The invention relates to a device for optimizing bead seating (1). According to the invention,a displaceable contact wheel is used to create a tread contact surface (26) between a motor vehicle wheel to be optimized (16) and said contact wheel (2). The contact wheel (2) is pivoted by means of a pivoting receiving element (9), enabling the bead seating to be optimized. In order to ensure a predefinedly high number of vehicle wheels (16) to be optimized, the inventive device for optimizing bead seating (1) is embodied in such a way that the optimization process can be carried out in a fully automated manner.

In connection with common tyre changing machines, it is well-known to use a pressing equipment, which e.g. is placed at the side of the machine, and which can be operated with the wheel standing on the floor. This give a cumbersome working position at the positioning of the wheel and inspection of correct placing in relation to the tool, and furthermore the operator is then to lift the wheel by himself up to lying position on the work plane of the tyre changing machine. By the invention it has been found that these circumstances can be considerably improved, if the wheel is lifted up to a work table at which the necessary tools are provided and from which the wheel can be transferred from operation to operation. With a tyre line according to the invention there may be possibility of using a far more suitable arrangement ergonomically, for lifting, handling, as well as for taking down the renovated wheel.

The power take off unit (10) drives a hydraulic pump (18) which provides hydraulic power to a hydraulic circuit, which in turn drives a hydraulically powered tyre changing apparatus (80) mounted in the vehicle. The use of a hydraulically driven tyre changing apparatus (80) avoids the need for a high voltage generator and electrical motor, so that all the components of the system can be safely operated within the vehicle. The system can further include a hydraulically driven compressor (60) and a tyre inflation apparatus (100) which utilises compressed air from the compressor. The system can further include a hydraulically driven tyre lifting apparatus (50) adapted for lifting a tyre from the ground outside the vehicle (400) to the floor (408) of a storage area within the vehicle (400).

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zur Montage eines Reifens auf eine Felge. Dabei werden Fahrzeugräder mit solchen Felgen betrachtet, bei denen die Sitzflächen für die Reifenwülste am inneren Umfang der Felge neben jeweils einem sich radial nach innen erstreckenden Felgenhorn angeordnet sind und bei denen sich neben den Sitzflächen umlaufende Vertiefungen befinden, deren Grund einen im Vergleich zum Durchmesser der Sitzflächen grösseren Durchmesser aufweist. Es werden folgende Verfahrensschritte vorgeschlagen:

  • a) Felge und Reifen werden bevorzugt senkrecht aufeinander zubewegt,
  • b) die Felge wird in den oval aufgeweiteten Reifen hineingeführt,
  • c) die Felge wird gedreht, bis die Achsen parallel verlaufen,
  • d+e) eine Partie des Wulstes, dessen Sitzfläche parallel zur Felgensitzfläche verläuft, wird in die Felgenvertiefung eingeführt, danach der gesamten Wulst nachgeschoben,
  • f) die Schritte d+e) werden beim anderen Wulst wiederholt,
  • g) die Wülste werden durch eine Beaufschlagung des Reifens mit Luft auf die Felgensitzflächen gebracht.

The docking base 14 has been integrally bonded to the inner surface during curing of the pneumatic tire 10. The docking base 14 has a shape formed by a mold attached to the inner surface of the inner cavity 12 during curing of the pneumatic tire 10. The mold is subsequently removed, resulting in the docking base 14 secured to the inner surface.
