PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce road noises of a vehicle regarding a road noise reducing device which can increase silence when the vehicle is running. SOLUTION: This road noise reducing device 1 for the vehicle is attached to a wheel W of the vehicle and reduces road noises. The road noise reducing device 1 has a plate-shape main body section 2 which is attached to the outside of the wheel W using a hub bolt 7 which protrudes from an axle shaft DA, and a vibration controlling section 3 made of a vibration controlling material such as a rubber, an expanded resin, a felt and an asphalt sheet, which is fixed to the outer periphery 2e of this main body section 2 and pressed to a disk section 4 of the wheel W by the attachment of the main body section 2. Thus, the versatility of the device is increased. Also, the vibration controlling section can effectively reduce road noises which are transmitted into the cabin by absorbing the vibration of the wheel being running and so forth by being pressed to the wheel, and can make road noises quieter. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise radiated sideways from a rim by fitting a rim cover which is provided with at least one absorber coaxial to an axle at the inner surface of a wheel rim region. SOLUTION: This sound arrester 2, which can be fitted onto the outside of a wheel rim 6 for sound isolation, consists of a round disc-shaped rim cover 4 which is roughly same as the diameter of the wheel rim 6. A rim opening 7 is in the inward direction of the rim 6. At the inner surface of the rim cover 4, two coaxial absorbers 8, 10 are disposed. The absorber 8 of both the absorbers 8, 10 consists of a ring-shaped hollow chamber 12. The hollow chamber is partitioned by a cylindrical outer wall 14 and the rim cover 4. Such a ring-shaped absorber 8 especially absorbs low sound of 250-600Hz generated by the rolling noise of a tire.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance mounting/demounting properties without increasing parts in number. SOLUTION: A locking part 24 which is detachably locked onto a hub nut 18 by elastically deforming it, is integrally provided for a position corresponding to the hub nut 18 of a corrosion preventive cover 20. For this reason, there is no need for any operation inserting or demounting a locking fixture as a separated part, and works and time required by mounting/demounting can thereby eliminated. Therefore, mounting/demounting properties of the corrosion preventive cover 20 to/from a wheel 14 can be enhanced. Furthermore, since the locking part 24 is integrally formed for the corrosion preventive cover 20, the corrosion preventive cover can thereby be manufactured at low cost while parts are being prevented from being increased in number. With this constitution, in time of car driving, a spiral blade 2 installed in the backside of the cap body 1 rotates together with the cap body 1 whereby air inside the cap is drawn out reversely against a wheel rotating direction. Accordingly, heat produced by braking force is emitted outside the wheel cap, thus overheat in a brake is preventable.
