This device is a driving trolley (22) which has a movable driving member (46) engageable with a driven pusher (42). The driving member is integrally formed with a stopping cam (81), an abutment (90), accumulation cam (80), an anti-jam cam (82), and a pair of transversely projecting driving wings (92,93). All cams disengage the driving member from a pusher. The stopping cam and abutment are engageable with a trackside stop member to stop the carrier. The accumulating cam (80) is engageable with an actuator on the rear of a preceding carrier to stop the carrier. The driving wings are engageable by forwarding and receiving pushers travelling on parallel side-by-side power tracks at a transfer zone. |

The power and free conveyor comprises a power track supporting an endless driven chain to which the pusher assemblies are attached. A load track is parallel to the power tracks, and carriers are mounted on the load track. Each carrier has a driving member releasably enagegeable by the pusher of a pusher assembly. The conveyor is arranged in a vertical loop with an up right position in which the power track is above the load track and an inverted portion in which the power track is below the load track. Each pusher assembly includes a pivoted pusher, a pivoted counterweight and a one-way connection between them. The pusher is biased by its mass into engageable relation with the carrier driving member on the upright portion of the conveyor and is also biased into engageable relation by the mass of the counterweight on the inverted portion of the carrier. |

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power and free conveying system basically composed of a module system with parts interchangeable and assembled, and used in an automobile assembly building.
SOLUTION: This power and free conveying system comprises a track assembly 26 having free track members 40, 48, a power trolley 110 supported on the power track members so as to move along them, and a free trolley 54 supported on the free track members so as to move along them. The track assembly 26 has a C-shaped first side support member 32 and an opposed C- shaped second side support member 34. The free trolley 54 has a movable holdback dog 104 engageable and disengageable with the power trolley 110, and a retractable dog 84 having a first position engageable with the power trolley 110 and a second position disengageable from the power trolley and engegeable with the holdback dog 104 to completely disengage the free trolley 54 from the power trolley 110 upon engaging another one of the free trolley 54.

PURPOSE: To prevent any possible reverse-run due to reaction at the time when a succeeding carrier separated from a driving chain has collided with a stopped preceding carrier from behind, by means of a reverse-run preventer having a reverse-run preventing one-way clutch built in a travel roller of the carrier.
CONSTITUTION: A carrier 32 of a trolley conveyor 31 makes a carrier hook 37 engage a pusher dog 36 of a driving chain 35, and it hangs down a conveyed work W and travels. The carrier 32 separated from the driving chain 35 is stopped on the spot, but the succeeding carrier 32 is still engaged with the driving chain 35, so that it canes close to the preceding carrier 32 from behind. Incidentally the succeeding carrier 32 separated from the chain 35 tries to go back owing to reaction at the time of colliding with the stopping preceding carrier 32 from behind. However, since a one-way clutch 50 for checking any reverse-run of a travel roller 43 itself is installed in this roller 43 of the carrier 32, the succeeding carrier 32 is prevented from its reverse-run and thereby it comes to a stop at the very spot where it is separated from the driving chain 35.

PURPOSE: To improve a drive element such that irreversible damage is prevented in the case of a transport path blocking a conveyor carriage.
CONSTITUTION: In a drive element 7 for rail-guided load carriers of an overhead conveyor system, a driver 7 connected to the drive element 7 via a hole, has a horizontal groove which extends to the hole. When a large horizontal force acts on the driver 2, the driver 2 is pushed downward from a pin 12. The drive element 7 which is continuously driven via a drive chain can travel past a conveyor carriage which is blocked in the conveyance direction T without the drive element or the conveyor carriage being destroyed. In order to prevent the driver 2 that has been pulled off downward from the pin 12 from doing any damage, it is secured via a wire bow 11 which is inserted into a through hole 22 provided on the driver 4.

PURPOSE: To provide a suspension conveyor system which has a simple construction and can be operated automatically.
CONSTITUTION: A suspension conveyor system includes a driving mechanism and a conveyor mechanism 5 adapted to be moved along a conveying path predetermined by a rail. The driving mechanism has an elongated flexible roller chain 12 on which at least one driver 13 is provided. The driver 13 projects into the conveying path and pushes the conveyor mechanism 5 in response to the driving movement of the conveyor mechanism 5. The driver 13 has a holding member connected to the roller chain 12 in an essentially rigid manner and a driving finger arranged on the holding member. The driving finger is elastic and flexible and adapted to be moved in a direction parallel with the conveying path.

PURPOSE:To prevent troubles by radiation in the captioned transfer equipment for a cobalt radiation device without lowering radiation efficiency by constituting a system in such a manner that, in a concentrated transfer section, the device is transferred by means of an accumulated conveyor at a predetermined low speed under a minimum pitch that has been set in advance. CONSTITUTION:In a concentrated transferring section N, a carrier 7 is released from a driving chain 8, separated from a rail 6, and delivered to both a rail 1 and an accumulated conveyor 15. The accumulated conveyor 15 sets the pitch of either the carrier 7 or a hanger 3 to as a small pitch l as possible and transfers a device at a low speed or the speed that is l/L times as fast as the transfer speed at an ordinary transfer section M, where L is the pitch in the ordinary transfer section M and l is the minimum pitch in the section N. With this constitution, troubles in the transfer equipment due to cobalt radiation can be prevented without lowering cobalt radiation efficiency. |

PURPOSE:To enable accurate stoppage in prescribed position, by providing a movable truck on a guide rail laid in parallel with that of a trolley conveyor, so that the truck is located beside the guide rail of the conveyor and can be moved back and forth. CONSTITUTION:When a moving body for conveyance is halted by a stopper 13 provided on a movable truck 20 located in its extreme backed position, the attachment plate 31 of the moving body is located slightly in front of a pusher 28 located its exterme backed position. The pusher 28 is then moved forth by a cylinder unit 29, from the position shown by a dotted line to another one shown by a full line, so that the moving body for conveyance is push-moved forward by the pusher through the attachment plate 31. As a result, a dog 17 for preventing a trolley from going ahead is pushed on the stopper 13 to place the moving body on the movable truck 20. After that, the truck 20 is moved to a prescribed position along a guide rail 21 by a power cylinder unit 30 to position the moving body for conveyance. |
