161 Device and method for reducing noise generated by collection of carriers in conveyer system JP37684098 1998-12-25 JPH11255316A 1999-09-21 KUBSIK ROBERT H; MCDONALD CLAYTON C
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably reduce the generated noise by installing a bumper formed with such a size that before another part of a trolley touches, it comes into contact with the trolley to absorb most of collision energy on a part of the trolley, that is, a part of the trolley that is normally out of contact therewith. SOLUTION: When one carrier 34 comes into contact with another carrier 34, a front wall 16 of a bumper 10 on the moving side trolleys 40, 42 comes into contact with the front wall 16 of the bumper 10 on the stationary trolleys 42, 40. Both bumpers 10 are compressed by the force of a carrier 34 on the side where a contact wall 64 collides with a blade part 62 to stop the carrier 34. The bumper 10 is formed by a urethane resin so that the noise when both bumpers 10 collide with each other is made smaller than that when metal bodies collide with each other. Instead of converting the collision energy to a sound wave, the collision energy is absorbed by elastic deformation of the urethane resin. COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To couple and uncouple a rotatable element with/from a drive element without receiving an excessive load on a drive means by providing a means between the drive means to rotate the rotatable element, and the rotatable element which can be coupled and uncoupled when the rotatable element is hooked. SOLUTION: A drive means 8 comprises an electric motor 13 and a crank mechanism 14, and rotary motion is converted into forward/back oscillation motion of a rotatable element 6. A means 21 is provided between the drive means 8 and a rotatable element 6 which can be coupled and uncoupled when the rotatable element 6 is hooked. The means 21 is part of a connection rod 18, it, favorably, is composed of elongation type changeable connection, and it, favorably, is provided between pivots 19, 20. These means are designed to provide initial resistance to deformation. When the rotatable element 6 is hooked, the connection can be elastically elongated and/or compressed, thereby the drive means 8 can execute ordinary actuation cycles. COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
166 Device for maintaining region of conveyor path of overhead conveyor free of conveyor carriages in the event of alarm JP29561793 1993-11-25 JPH06247286A 1994-09-06 UDO RIYUUBETSUKE; RAFURU SHIYUNOIINGU; GERUHARUTO SHIRINGU
PURPOSE: To provide a device for removing conveyor carriages from a conveyor path region of an overhead conveyor in the event of an alarm, particularly in the region of a fire door. CONSTITUTION: A device comprises a plurality of conveyor carriages 60, 61 received on a travel rail 34, a tow rope 19 for driving these carriages 60, 61 and drivers 27, 33 connected to the tow rope 19 with a stop pawl being arranged on each of them. Within the conveyor-path region 90 that is to remain clear, a rail 38 is arranged in a fixed position. The rail acts upon the drivers 27, 33 as they pass the rail, and the stop pawls which are not in contact with the carriage 60, 61 turn at free positions. Therefore, upon the triggering of an alarm, although an overhead conveyor 1 is stopped, the carriage 61 present in the conveyor-path region 90 can be moved out of the region 90 by an auxiliary drive 109. PURPOSE: To realize unattended recognition of gripping state of linen, in a linen carrying device in laundry, by enlarging the space between chucks being fed continuously and detecting existence of linen at a plurality of fixed positions. CONSTITUTION: Chucks 2 are moved in a rail 48 by means of a bearing roller 20. When a chuck 2 stops at a stopper 46, an air cylinder 44 functions to release chucks 2, 2 one by one so as to advance the chuck with its self weight. When the chuck 2 is detected by means of a sensor 57, sensors 58, 59 detect a linen gripped between the chucks 2, 2 and provide a signal to CPU not sown. CPU carries out predetermined operations based on the detection signals fed from said sensors 57W59 then recognizes the gripping state of linen and displays that state. With such arrangement, unattended recognition of gripping state of linen can be realized resulting in automation of carrying device. COPYRIGHT: (C)1988,JPO&Japio
172 Hanger type carrying device JP22449484 1984-10-25 JPS61106313A 1986-05-24 IBARAKI MIKIO
PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of hanger type carrying device in sewing factory by making a couplable hanger truck travelable on a rail along a chain while controlling through engagement/disengagement with hook arranged on the chain. CONSTITUTION:When a group of hanger trucks 5 are stopping at one station through function of a stopper 12, the following hook 3' will pass through a split groove 9' in space truck 9 and contact against a springboard stopper mechanism 8 of split groove 5'. Since the stopping force of stopper 12 is higher, advancing force of hook 3' will prevail over the stopping force of stopping mechanism 8 to pass through the stopping truck 5. It will also pass when the weight of carrying object is excessive thus to protect the motor from overload. When the stopper 12 will not function, the hool 3' will engage with the stopping mechanism 8 of hanger trunk 5 thus to carry the truck 5. With such arrangement, the motor can be protected while smooth carrying is achieved and the efficiency is improved.

PURPOSE:To improve backing preventing performance and a property to cope with wear by providing a cam plate, which is in contact with the working surface of an elastically energized guide rail and which has arc-shaped cam faces, whose rotating axes are the more removed toward the rear part in the energizing direction, on a movable body. CONSTITUTION:A cam surface 20A is energized by means of a winding spring 19, in such a way that a moving direction is the same as an energized rotating direction for contacting, in order to bring it in contact with the working surface 18 of a rail. Accordingly, since the cam surface 20A slides on the working surface 18 of the rail, the movement of a trolley unit is smooth without hindrance. When the trolley unit is brought into contact with a stopper and, as it is about to make a backward movement due to the reaction, the cam surface 20A is caught in the working surface 18 of rail due to the rotation of a cam plate 17 in the energized rotating direction 22 and an eccentric circular arc radius Ra, securely checking the backward movement of a free trolley 8. And, thus, the backward movement can be securely prevented.

PURPOSE:To enable formation of a stock at a curved part, by a method wherein a space between the contact piece of a preceding conveying member and the follower piece of a succeeding conveying member on a power line is reduced in comparison with a space between preceding and succeeding conveying parts on a free line. CONSTITUTION:In a driving member 30, a rear lock piece 33 is unmovably fixed by means of a coupling mechanism during the usual condition of a front lock piece 32, and the lock piece 33 is movably released when the lock piece 32 is moved. A conveying member 40 is provided with a conveying part 41 for conveying an object and an actuating piece 42 coupled through a coupling part 43. A follower piece 412 is extended and fixed to the conveying part 41 so that it engages with the lock piece 33, and an actuating piece 42 is provided with a contact piece 421 which is adapted to make contact with the lock piece 32. Further, the coupling part 43 is adapted to couple the actuating piece 42 to the conveying part 41 by means of a universal joint 431 and a connecting rod 432 so that the actuating piece can freely deviate from the conveying part. Further, at the curved part of driving conveyance passages 10 and 20, an actuating piece 42' of a preceding conveying member is deviatd in relation to the conveying part 41 and the contact piece 421 is extended in relation to the following member 30.
