PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tray handler for stacking and de-stacking ophthalmic prescription trays. SOLUTION: The tray handler forms a stack area along a conveyor by a plurality of mutually spaced clamp parts, and has a lift plate and first and second actuators. The lift plate is operably arranged in the stack area, and the first actuator operates by linking with the clamp parts, and the clamp parts can move to the inside and the outside to the lift plate by operation of the first actuator. The second actuator operates by linking with the lift plate, and can move in the vertical direction in the stack area by operation of the second actuator. A control device controls these operations by communicating with the first and second actuators. A method of handling the ophthalmic prescription trays is also disclosed. PURPOSE: To prevent the motion from a pallet through the engagement with a leading part of an article group during the loading operation, to increase the operating speed, to minimize articles from being damaged, and to minimize the changing time of the operation mode by guiding the article group when it is pushed out from the pallet during the unloading operation. CONSTITUTION: During the loading operation, an article on an article conveyor 26 is changed in direction at a first position 29, moved toward a discharge end part 37 along a first passage, and a sweeping unit 64 pushes and guides the direction-changed article so as to be stored on a pallet 11 by the group. A retainer prevents the article from traveling over the pallet 11. During the unloading operation, the stored articles are pushed out and guided by the group from the pallet 11 to form the flow-through by the sweeping unit 64 and the retainer unit 17 along a second passage separate from the first one. Then, the articles are guided to a second position 31 downstream of the first position 29 of the article conveyor 26.

PURPOSE:To prevent mutual interference with an insert machine disposed at a work station and to improve accuracy of positioning a base plate by providing a movable mount-and-demount station and a pusher capable of freely projecting over a transport surface for a base plate, thereby to convey a base plate. CONSTITUTION:A magazine apparatus I on inlet side includes an elevator device 3 for lifting up a magazine 1 conveyed from a magazine supply conveyer 2, and base plates in the magazine 1 are fed out from the uppermost base plate first to a mount station IV through a feed roller 5. The base plate is supplied from the mount station IV by a pusher onto a work board on a turn table capable of moving in directions of X and Y in a work station III and positioned, where various kinds of parts are automatically inserted by an insert machine. Subsequently, the base plate is carried out to a magazine apparatus II on outlet side through a demount station V and sequentially stored in a magazine 1 elvated by an elevator device 7.

PURPOSE: To improve the working efficiency by positioning the pallet where parts to be inspected are piled up at a part supply section, holding only good parts after inspection, and piling them up onto the pallet positioned at a part taking-out position in a substantially similar posture to the parts to be inspected. CONSTITUTION: Part accommodation cases 3 are transferred into a pallet 7 on a palletizer 5b from the top stage of a depalletizer 5A through a belt conveyer 4 and an inspection device 22 in order, whereas if inferior parts are mixed in the parts placed in the case 3, the case 3 is discharged to the outside. When all the cases 3 on the pallet on a depalletizer 5a are taken out and is kept empty, the pallet 7 is moved onto a pallet transfer device 24 temporarily, and then the pallet 7 where the part accommodation cases 3 for parts to be inspected are piled up is positioned on a depalletizer 5a side to carry out inspection work again. After a prescribed number of cases 3 are piled up after inspection, the cases 3 are taken out along with the pallet 7. COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio

PURPOSE:To accumulate a lot of containers in layers in a small floor space by transferring a work onto an empty container taken out from a container loader and then conveying the container to an accumulating position to be sequentially piled up in layers in a container stocker. CONSTITUTION:An empty container 6a is transported to a transfer area of a transferring robot 5 by a container loader 29, and then works (injection moldings) are sequentially transferred into a division of the empty container 6a transported to the area. Subsequently a container 6b loaded with the works is conveyed to an accumulating position by a conveying apparatus 19, and then the container 6b is sequentially piled up in layers in a container stocker 21. The lowermost container 6b of the piled containers is sequentially taken out from the container stocker 21 to be conveyed to an assembly line, a packing line and so on by the conveying apparatus 19.

PURPOSE:To permit the loading and unloading operation having a high efficiency by arranging each work position of two pallet transport apparatuses and each load delivery part of two load transport apparatuses oppositely each other, having each position in the transfer passage for a traveling body of the load transport apparatus interposed. CONSTITUTION:A load transport apparatus 4 consists of a traveling body 6 which shifts in reciprocation in the horizontal direction, a pillar-shaped body 7 erected vertically on the traveling body 6, a rising and lowering body 8 which rises and lowers along the pillar-shaped body 7, a transfer body 9 which extends in the horizontal direction crossing at right angles to the transfer passage for the traveling body 6 and is installed onto the rising and lowering body 8 and shifts in the longitudinal direction, and a load holding apparatus 10 which transfers along the transfer body 9. The working positions 68 of two pallet transport apparatuses 3 are arranged oppositely, having one edge part of the transfer passage for the traveling body 6 interposed, and the delivery parts 59 of two load transport apparatuses 3 are arranged oppositely, having the other edge part of the transfer passage for the traveling body 6 interposed. Thus, loading or unloading work for two kinds of load can be carried-out at a same time.

PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of picking of an article and enable the secure picking without damaging it, by moving down parallel links at a speed variable from a high level to a low level and by moving them up at a constant speed. CONSTITUTION:Picking rollers 3 rotatable at will are coupled by support arms 2 to parallel links 1, each of which is secured at one end and movable up and down at the other, in a picking equipment. The parallel links 1 are moved down at a speed variable from a high level to a low level and are moved up at a constant speed. For that reason, the rollers 3 are rapidly moved to the top of an article 5 to be picked and are slowly brought into contact with the article. Therefore, the picking rollers 3 are moved to the article 5 in a short time and the article is prevented from being damaged by the rollers. Efficient picking is thus enabled for the individual article 5.

PURPOSE:To realize smooth operation of a stacker and unstacker by providing two sorts of clickes, click A and click B, respectively on the right and the left and operating them for performing loading and unloading of cases. CONSTITUTION:A stacker supports a case 3 carried in by means of the right A click 1 and the left B click 2. At this time, the next case 4 is carried in and supported by means of the left A click 1 and the right B click 2, and the second case 4 overlaps and holds up the first case 3, and at the same time, the clicks which have held the first case 3 return to their assigned positions. Subsequently, the third and the fourth cases are piled in order. As for an unstacker, when a group of cases are carried in, it holds up a case by means of the right A click 1 and the left B click 2. Then it gets ready for supporting the second case 6 through inserting both the right B click 2 and the left A click 1 there, and rotates the first case 5 in the direction of dropping. The dropped case 5 is conveyed by means of a conveyor, then the subsequent cases are unloaded in order in like manner. |
