187 Virtual window forming system for aircraft JP15761399 1999-06-04 JP2000350195A 2000-12-15 MURAYAMA KOICHI
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of an airframe by using a projector to project a video image photographed by a camera fitted to the airframe onto an inner side face of the airframe comparable to a window so as to eliminate cabin windows or decreased number of the cabin windows and to respond to a request of passengers desiring to see the scenery outside the windows. SOLUTION: In a virtual window forming system for an aircraft, a video camera 2 is provided to a cylindrical airframe 1 of an airliner. The video camera 2 is fitted to an outer side face 3 of a shell being the airframe 1 to photograph a video image changing with navigation of the airliner. A projector 5 installed at a ceiling 4 at the inside of the shell is placed nearly to a center of the airframe 1 and has two projection optical systems 6 almost laterally symmetrically. This projector 5 projects the video image photographed by the video camera 2 onto left and right shell walls of the shell. Through this projection, a virtual window 7 is generated on the shell on which no window is provided. The video image projected on the shell wall may not be as real time video image. 188 Housing device for vehicle image monitor JP34935298 1998-11-24 JP2000159197A 2000-06-13 OGATA TOSHIRO
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install a monitor device using a liquid crystal panel in a passenger cabin, etc., of an aircraft so that the monitor device can be housed during the period of usage when hitting passengers at their heads. SOLUTION: A frame 9 is provided on the ceiling 3 of a vehicle, and a liquid crystal panel 7 is provided on the frame 9 so as to be housed with the liquid crystal surface tending to the ceiling side and rotationally moved 120 degrees or so for allowing passengers seated to easily see it when placed at a usage position by a driving mechanism 19. The panel 7 is driven from a storage position to the usage position by a motor and from the usage position to the storage position by a spring. When it hits and impacts passengers at their heads during the period of usage, a detecting mechanism detects the displacement of the liquid crystal panel 7 and feeds a signal to a control circuit. The control circuit cancels an electromagnetic brake and rests the liquid crystal panel 7 to the housing position. COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of scratches on the surface of a dust cover by forming the dust cover with a transparent resin plate, and an inextensible transparent film stuck on the surface opposite to the shade of the transparent resin plate. CONSTITUTION:A dust cover 320 provided closest to a cabin side is composed of a transparent plate body 330 made of an acrylic resin, and an inextensible transparent film 340 stuck on the surface at the inner side of the cabin of the acrylic resin plate 330. As the adhesive, a transparent adhesive is used. This acrylic resin plate 330 is expanded by absorbing the moisture in the air or dew drops. In this expansion, the acrylic resin plate 330 is bent in the outer direction of the air frame shown as the arrow F, because the inextensible transparent film 340 is stuck. As a result, a clearance D is generated between the locus L1 of moving the shade 80 vertically, and the dust cover 320, and no interference of both members is generated.

PURPOSE:To perform the integrated control of seat position and various functions and connect each seat to a cockpit or a crew's room in the information exchangeable state. CONSTITUTION:A reclining device, a seating sensor, a leg rest 61 and other function devices are mounted to the seat 1 side so as to enable a passenger to operate on/off a television and sound equipment and to adjust the view and sound volume optionally by an operating device in the seat. A computer control device CPU connected to each seat in the information exchangeable state is installed in a crew's room so as to input-store desired data from the seat 1 side. The desired data is output-displayed on a TV combined display 83, installed on the seat 1 side, from the computer control device CPU so as to enable information exchange between passengers and a crew. The control operation of each function device to the whole seats or a specific set is performed from the crew side through the computer control device CPU.

PURPOSE: To house a large size monitor without shortening the life of a spring at the time when an actuator is inoperative. CONSTITUTION: A spring motor 40 comprising at least two torsional springs attached in parallel to provide the sufficient torque to retract a monitor 12 is installed. A monitor is attached to a frame 14 such that the monitor can move from a stowed position to a viewing position. A ball screw type actuator 20 is so attached to the frame and the monitor as to rotate the ball screw 30 in a manner of rotating the monitor to and from two positions. When the ball screw 30 is rotated by an electric motor to rotate the monitor to the viewing position, energy is stored in the torsional springs and in the case of electric power failure, the monitor can be turned back to the stowed position by the stored energy.

PURPOSE: To automatically move back a monitor when an electric supply is cut off or a passenger hits the monitor. CONSTITUTION: A spring 52 is operatively connected to a monitor 12 and an electric motor 42 and if the electric motor becomes disabled, the monitor is pulled up from an exposed position to a stowed position. Further a slip clutch 38 is attached to an output shaft 40 of the electric motor and if a predetermined force is applied to the monitor, the clutch works to rotate the monitor up from the exposed position.

PURPOSE: To secure sufficient overhead space by holding a display part positively at an optional angle at the operated time so as to provide passengers constantly with a stable image at an optimum angle, and enclosing the display part completely into a ceiling part at the non-operated time. CONSTITUTION: This display device body 4 is disposed at the lower part of a parcel rack 5 of an aircraft, and formed of a display means 6 and a switching means. The display means 6 is provided with a display part 8 formed of a plane panel display means such as an LCD and held in its opening to have an optimum image plane angle by the switching means. In the operated state, the display device body 4 is covered with a cover 9 so as to prevent the invasion of dirt, dust, and the like. A locking means is further provided to fix the display part 8 at the operated and non-operated time, and the switching means is constructed in such a way as to enclose the display part 8 only by mechanical force in the case of power supply stop to the display device body 4. 200 On-vehicle video acoustic device JP32790889 1989-12-18 JPH03187636A 1991-08-15 OTA YOSHITAKA; TAKAMA KAZUO; MAKI MIKIHARU
PURPOSE: To facilitate the wiring and to minimize the increase in the weight of a vehicle by adopting a square wave signal whose highest repetitive frequency is 10kHz or below for a control signal, thereby sharing a control signal transmission line, an acoustic signal transmission line and a video signal transmission line in common. CONSTITUTION: A 1st video acoustic equipment group 4 and a 1st multiplexer 8 are arranged in the vicinity of a driver's seat in a cabin, and a 2nd video acoustic equipment group 7 and a 2nd multiplexer 9 are arranged in a trunk room. The frequency of a control signal outputted from a controller 1 is limited to 10kHz or below by low pass filters 14, 22. Then constant voltage elements 16, 24 are connected in parallel with termination resistors 15, 23 to limit the level of the control signal so that the control signal does not give the influence on a digital audio signal after multiplexing. Thus, it is possible to transmit the control signal, the digital audio signal and the video signal through the same line with simple constitution, the wiring is facilitated and the increase in the weight of the vehicle is minimized.
