PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera apparatus capable of imaging the field of view in the direction almost orthogonal to the imaging optical axis so that the range of field of view that is imaged is not narrowed, nor an invalid image portion is caused within the range of field of view that is imaged. SOLUTION: In the camera apparatus 1, its prisms 13 and 14 are so arranged that their back surfaces 13B and 14B are directed toward an imaging lens 9 while their side surfaces 13L and 14R are directed toward left/right field of view. Incident light CL and CR on the side surfaces 13L and 14R is internally reflected twice between the side surfaces 13R and 14L on the anti-field of view side and the side surfaces 13L and 14R on the field of view side, and emitted from the back surfaces 13B and 14B, and then focused on an imaging element 7 through the imaging lens 9. On all surfaces of the side surfaces 13R and 14L, reflecting films 20R and 21L for totally reflecting light CL and CR that enters the inside surfaces are provided. On such regions where the light CL and CR that enter the inside surfaces do not totally reflect among the side surfaces 13L and 14R, films 20L and 21R that totally reflect the light CL and CR entering the inside surfaces of the regions are provided. PURPOSE:To secure safety for both ways and to fold the above mirror device to be stoned when it is not used by providing a pair of right and left mirrors which can be freely projected to the driver's seat side by springs on a mount plate which can be freely erected on the front bonnet of a car body by springs. CONSTITUTION:A mount plate 3 is disposed on a base plate 4 fixed on the front bonnet of a car body in such a manner as to be freely erected by springs 6, and a pair of right and left mirrors 1, 2 are provided on the mount plate 3 in such a manner as to be projected to the driver's seat side by springs 5. The respective mirrors 1, 2 have an opposed angle of 270 deg., so that safety of both ways can be confirmed from the driver's seat side. The mirrors can be folded by engaging the forward end portion of the mirror 1 with a groove portion of the mirror 2 and stored using a cord 8 by a knob 31 at the driver's seat so as to prevent the mirrors from projecting when they are not used. At the time of confirming the safety of both ways on a T-road, the folded and stored right and left paired mirrors are erected to confirm safety, and when they are not used, the mirrors are folded and stored not to disturb visual field.

PURPOSE:To enable confirmation of both side states of a vehicle by a driver while sitting on a driver's seat by constructing a laterally viewing device of a container with a cover capable of reciprocatingly displacing between opened and closed positions, separate controller, and right and left side reflecting mirrors. CONSTITUTION:A collar for enclosing the entire periphery of the opening of a box 1 is welded underneath a plate 7 forming part of an automotive body for closing a through hole of the plate 7. A cover 2 is rotatably mounted between closed and opened positions around a stationary shaft 9 in the vicinity of far side from a driver's seat along lateral direction of the vehicle at the protrusion 8 thereof. A coil 11 is secured to the bottom surface of the box 1 with a movable iron core 12 inserted into the center hole thereof to be urged to the right by a spring 13 in contact with an end plate 14. The iron core 12 is connected through a link 15 to the protrusion 8 of the cover 2. A supporting base 18 is secured to the inner surface of the cover 2. Right and left side reflecting mirrors 5, 6 are secured to the base 18. Thus, the driver can confirm the both side states of the vehicle while sitting on the driver's seat.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deformation of an assembly side part of a rotary part in a rotary mechanism.SOLUTION: In a door mirror device 10 for a vehicle, a storage mechanism 14 is operated and a case 18 is rotated with respect to an assembly 16A of a stand 16, thereby a bracket 32 and a mirror 52 are rotated integrally with the case 18. The case 18 is housed in a storage cylinder 34 of the bracket 32 from a lower side. A reinforce 42 is fixed on a lower side of the case 18 so that the reinforce 42 limits deformation of the lower side part of the case 18. Therefore, vibration deformation to the lower side part of the case 18 due to vehicle vibration and so on can be suppressed and chatter to the mirror 52 also can be suppressed.

Spaces are formed between these frames 21-29.
