PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve core which can reduce an amount of gas leak as compared with conventional valve cores.
SOLUTION: The valve core 20 uses a rubber seal member 31 and a metal glass seal member 32 for double-sealing an insertion hole 21A and a core mounting hole 11 of a valve body 10. A metal glass as part of the metal glass seal member 32 has extremely higher elasticity than a general metal material, and so the metal glass seal member 32 has close contact with another member for sealing with smaller force than in functioning a metal seal. Additionally, the metal glass is amorphous similarly to an oxide glass and so it is hardly gas-permeable. As a result, a gas leakage amount is made smaller than in the case of a conventional rubber seal only or a combination of rubber seal and metal seal.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |

PURPOSE:To uniformly increase the strength of a rim over the whole periphery in a wheel in which a rim for supporting a tire is connected to spokes by providing an opening for injecting air into the tire on the spoke. CONSTITUTION:A wheel 1 consists of a wheel 2 and a tubeless type tire 3. In the wheel 2, a hub 4 into which an axle is inserted and a rim 5 for supporting the tire 3 are joined together by spokes 6. In this case, the insides of the rim 5 and spokes 6 are connected to each other. Also, a caved-in portion 6A facing the inside of the rim 5 and the axle direction is formed on the center portion of the spoke 6. An air injection port 6C for the tire 3 is provided on the upside inclined face 6B of the caved-in portion 6A. That is, the air injection port 6C is not provided on the rim 5 but on the spoke 6. Thereby, the strength of the rim 5 can be uniformly increased over the whole periphery. |

PURPOSE: To prevent the misuse of a puncture runnable vehicle wheel with an air tire by integrating a misuse preventing mechanism to an opening position, transferring it to a close position after a vehicle is laid in puncture running, and reestablishing the open position of the mechanism only by a special tool.
CONSTITUTION: In the vertical through-running of a vehicle wheel transferred to puncture running, a flat tire 3 presses a mechanical sensor 9 radially inward. This movement is transmitted to a sealed sleeve 12 through a pin 10 overcoming the force of a spring 11 to elastically upset a collar part 13, and the sealed sleeve 12 is fitted irreversibly to the rear part of a housing stepped part 14 of reverse hook structure, overcoming it. The collar part 13 acting as a locking claw to some degree is closely sealed to a smooth extension part 14, the air inlet to the tire internal space can be arrested. Thus, this structure is useful to ensure the safety of a puncture runnable vehicle wheel, and its misuse can be prevented.

PURPOSE:To perform the drilling of a green tube certainly without impairing productivity of an extruder, by performing attachment of a valve to the green tube which is cut to a predetermined size at an extrusion process during the process of cutting of both ends of the green tube and the following process of contact bonding by a splicer. CONSTITUTION:A valve V is inserted between holding means 3, then a green ture T cut to a predetermined size is picked up from a truck and put in a holding plate 50, and a center line of the longitudinal direction of the green tube T is positioned on the vertical center line of a drilling blade 21. An air vent is drilled by pressing the drilling blade 21 with a drilling means 20, and a stamped out waste remaining inside the blade is blown off by compressed air and dropped during pulling out the blade. The holding means 3 is made to descend, the valve V is made to coincide with the drilled air vent and press-bonded to the upper side wall of the green tube T. Then, pushing pressure by the holding plate 50 being released the green tube T is carried to a neighbouring splicer, being pushed at its rear end by a pushing metal part 60. |

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the necessity of paying attention by a driver for maintaining recommended air pressure.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire comprises an annular air flow passage 15 and a valve assembly 17. The valve assembly 17 comprises a first valve 22 for taking a first position for enabling air to enter the air flow passage through an air inlet in the first direction and a second position for enabling the air to enter the air flow passage through the air inlet in the second direction, and a second valve 32 inserted in parallel to the first valve into an air flow of the air flow passage. When the first valve exists in the first position, the second valve exists in a third position for enabling the air flowing in the first flow direction in the air flow passage to flow out of the air flow passage through an air outlet, and when the first valve exists in the second position, the second valve exists in a fourth position for enabling the air flowing in the second flow direction in the air flow passage to flow out of the air flow passage through the air outlet. |

An apparatus and method for mounting an inflator, exhaust valve or relief valve interiorly of an inflatable article, comprising a receiver having an integral mounting flange formed about its upper periphery that is heat sealed interiorly about an opening in the fabric of an inflatable article to be substantially flush with the contour of the inflatable article once inflated. The receiver comprises a generally circular cylindrical bore for removably receiving a corresponding generally circular cylindrical portion of the inflator, exhaust valve or relief valve therein. A locking key removably engages into corresponding detents in the mounting flange to removably secure the inflator, exhaust valve or relief valve in the bore. An O-ring is provided about the generally circular cylindrical portion of the inflator, exhaust valve or relief valve to form a seal with the bore and prevent any leakage of gas from the interior of the inflatable article. |

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts for cost down by supporting an extension valve at the side of an internal load wheel. CONSTITUTION:To attach an extension valve 30 to an air valve 27, a nut 42 is first screwed on a male screwed part 41 of the valve and the valve 30 is inserted from its extremity 30a through a through hole 43 in a supporting plate 40. The valve 30 is screwed on the male screwed part 28 of an air valve 27 and a locking part 44 of the supporting plate is secured to the partial periphery of a service hole 25 before the nut 42 is tightened to the supporting plate 40 to press against it. The nut 42 thus urges the supporting plate 42, having the supporting plate 40 tightly secured to the internal load wheel 23, on account of which the extension valve 30 may be supported by the internal load wheel 23. |
