PURPOSE: To prevent the falling of a bead part to a well part by forming the seat side inclined face of a hump part by a part of a specified conical face and forming a recessed obtuse-angled corner on the boundary between the seat side inclined face and a bead seat part. CONSTITUTION: A hump part 10 extending in the circumferential direction to prevent the falling of a tire is disposed between a bead seat part 5 and a well part 6 recessed over this part in the radial directional side. The hump part 10 has inclined faces 12, 13 on the both sides of its top part 11 as the boundary, respectively. The seat side inclined face 12 is formed by a part of a conical face crossing to a straight line L parallel to the tire axial line within the angle range of 5°-35°. A corner part 14 consisting of a recessed obtuse angle is formed on the boundary between the seat side inclined face 12 and the bead seat part 5. PURPOSE: To improve the startability of a flange by disposing undercut mechanism at a side wall part of a rim used for a tire having a flange enabling flat tire travel, and communicating the undercut mechanism with atmospheric pressure through orifices. CONSTITUTION: A rim 1 is used for a tire 2 having a flange 3 enabling flat tire travel. The rim 1 has a groove 10 for receiving the flange 2. The groove 10 has U-shape center cross section with the recessed face turned radially outward and has a bottom part 101 parallel to a rotation axis. The groove 10 is partitioned by each side wall 102 extended radially outward in relation to the bottom part 101 on both axial sides. In such constitution, at least one undercut mechanism 11 is disposed at each side wall 102, and orifices 100 communicated with atmospheric pressure radially inward of each undercut mechanism 11 are disposed in the groove 10. PURPOSE: To secure such a single-structural wheel rim that is capable of increasing a brake space for a tire with given load supporting capacity by shallowing depth of a fitting well part substantially, while making the detaching of the tire easy enough. CONSTITUTION: In a wheel rim, there are provided a bead seat part 1, forming a taper at the specified angle, for example, an angle of 5° in the axial direction, a tire holding flange 2, having an outer bending flange edge 3 and projecting in the radial direction and a center tire fitting well part 4. And, a low part 5 is formed in this flange 2, while this part 5 extends around the circumference of the wheel rim over a specified distance B-B', and the length is set to be, for example, 0.25 times the circumference of the bead seat part 1 and one end of the low part 5 is continued to an ordinary height part at a step 7. On the other hand, an area 8, going up gradually, is installed in the other end, height of this area 8 is gradually increased between points 9 and 10 a part from a long as a distance of, for example, 0.12 times over the circumference of the bead seat part 1. PURPOSE:To prevent air leakage and inclusion of foreign substances like sand and dust by arranging a concave groove in a tire connecting portion on the periphery of a rim flange and fitting a rubber-like elastic body ring having a round section or the like in the concave groove. CONSTITUTION:A portion 8 of a wheel flange 7 of a plastic wheel seamed with a tire bead 1 is formed on the periphery with a concave groove 9 in which a rubber-like elastic body ring 10 is fitted. In this constitution, the ring 10 is pressed against the outer side of the tire bead 1 and flatted to the same positional level as the rim flange surface 8. Thus, sealing is achieved sufficiently so that air leakage and foreign substance inclusion can be prevented.

CONSTITUTION:An annular thermal contractive resinous film 4a with a larger diameter than a flange 1c, prepared correspondingly to the area from a bead seat face 1b of a rim 1 to a rim flange 1c, is positioned facing to a rim 1 and subsequently resin 4 is contracted instantaneously by means of steam, hot air or hot water blown at or poured on said film 4a. Thus, resistance to corrosion of the rim may be improved through application of resinous layer 4 to the surface of a metallic covering of the rim without removing it.

PURPOSE: To facilitate the rim assembling operation of a tire by providing a flange ring attachably and detachably in facing with a fixed flange provided at the bead seat of a rim, in wheel provided with a disc part connected to the rim part. CONSTITUTION: This wheel has a rim part 1a and a disc part 1b connected thereto. The rim part 1a has at its sides a pair of bead seats 2 and 3, and ridges 4 and 5 at the inner sides of bead seats 2 and 3, respectively. A fixed flange 6 is provided at the outer side of one of the bead seat 2, and a ring-shaped groove 7 is provided at the outer side of the bead seat 3. Further, an annular recession 8 is provided between both ridges 4 and 5. This annular recession 8 has a depth larger than the dimension of projection of the fixed flange 6 and has a width larger than the width of the bead of the tire. Systems and methods disclosed herein may be useful for use in a wheel assembly. In this regard a wheel assembly (10) may comprise a wheel base (12) with a center axis, a side rim (14) disposed about a circumference of the wheel base (12), wherein the side rim (14) includes a frustoconical radially inward surface, and a lock ring (22) comprising a single unitary member. The lock ring (22) may secure the side rim (14) onto the wheel base (12), the lock ring (22) preventing the side rim (14) from sliding axially with respect to the wheel base, wherein a frustoconical radially outward surface of the lock ring (22) comprises a first angle with respect to the frustoconical radially inward surface of the side rim (14).
