The present invention relates to a seat control system for a vehicle. The system includes a substrate with a plurality of touch zones disposed on one surface of the substrate, and a plurality of electrode patterns disposed on the opposite surface. An inner electrode of each pattern is aligned with one of the touch zones. Each pattern is electrically coupled to an active electrical component, which energizes the electrodes of the pattern such that electric fields emanate therefrom. The pattern may be capacitively coupled to the component. When the electric field of the inner electrode is disturbed by a stimulus proximate the corresponding touch zone, the component is activated. Upon activation of one of the components, a controller causes the seat to move in a desired direction.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide operation type electric component, which can relatively freely set click feeling at slide operation, and can prevent an increase in a size. SOLUTION: A slider 2 includes a pair of projections 21, 22 extending along a predetermined direction. The respective projections 21, 22 are inserted in guide paths 31, 32 of a holding case 3, and can slide and move along guide surfaces 33, 34. A cutout 26 opening to a projection end surface side is formed on the projection 21. A steel ball 7 elastically biased by a coil spring 6 is in elastic contact with an inner wall surface 26a of the cutout 26. The cutout 26 has a tapered shape from an opening end side to an inner side. A click groove 27 formed on an innermost part of the cutout 26 is engaged with and disengage from the steel ball 7 to generate the click feeling. The coil spring 6 is housed in a spring housing part 35 of the holding case 3, and the spring housing part 35 is faced to the guide path 31 and is arranged sequentially to the guide surface 33. A switching device which can operate slidably a general-purpose rocking switch by the use of the rocking switch, and achieve reduction in thickness of the device is disclosed. The switching device includes: laterally slidable sliders; levers rockably supported below the sliders by rocking fulcrums, and rocked in engagement with the sliders; and movable contacts rocked by the rocking action of the levers so as to be separated from and brought into contact with fixed contacts, wherein a pair of contact portions of the levers pressed by the sliders are set lower than the rocking fulcrums.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a general purpose swinging switch by lowering contact parts when a lever is slidingly pressed more than a swinging fulcrum, and also thin a device by arranging a slider connecting part by forming a recessed part on the lever. SOLUTION: A slider 14 is formed so that sliding operation can be performed in the lateral direction, and is swingingly supported by a swinging fulcrum 65. A lever 61 to swing by engaging with the slider 14 presses a movable section by its swinging operation, and contacts with and separates from a fixed contact point. Here, a pair of contact parts E and E when the lever 61 is pressed by sliding operation of the slider 14, are set in a position lower than the swinging fulcrum 65. Therefore, slide operation can be performed by the slider 14 by using a general purpose swinging switch 8, and a device can be thinned. A recessed part S is also formed on the lever 61 of the swinging switch 8, and since a connecting part 14a of the slider 16 and a part of a cam part are arranged in the recessed part S, the device can be thinned further. In a power seat operation device, a micro switch is attached inside a dial that is rotatably provided to a side face of a power seat. An opening is formed inside the dial, with an operation portion of a knob to operate the micro switch inserted through the opening. There is accordingly a possibility that liquid might infiltrate into the dial, however a channel is formed inside the dial by the dial and the knob. The channel lets liquid flow downward to the lower side of the micro switch so as to discharge the liquid to outside the dial in cases in which liquid has infiltrated into the dial through the opening in a state in which the opening is positioned at the upper side of the micro switch. The channel is partitioned from the micro switch, enabling flow of liquid to the micro switch to be prevented or suppressed.

In a power seat operation device, a cam portion formed at a dial base has valleys and peaks that are alternately arranged in a row along a rotation direction of a dial so as to form an undulation in a radial direction. A slider is supported by the dial so as to be slidable in the radial direction. The slider is abutted against the cam portion by biasing force from a roller spring and fits into one out of the valleys so as to retain the dial at one of the rotary positions. During rotational operation of the dial, the slider crosses over at least one out of the peaks while elastically deforming the roller spring and sliding with respect to the dial.

In a slide switch device in which a tactile-feel generation portion generates a tactile feel when a slider is operated to slide via an operation knob, the tactile-feel generation portion includes cam portions formed at a back surface of a flat plate portion of the slider, coil springs held at a guide base, and driving bodies that are elastically urged to the coil springs and are pressed to the cam portions. Elastic arms that elastically contact a guide flat surface of the guide base are provided at the flat plate portion of the slider. The elastic arms and the cam portions are arranged by the same number at positions separated from a shaft portion of the slider.

A switch actuating assembly for an automobile seat has a switch operating member moveable along a first path to operate a first switch associated with a first function and moveable along a second path to operate a second switch associated with a second function. To inhibit operation of both functions simultaneously a guide controls movement of the switch operating member. Guide members act between the switch operating member and the guide so that movement of the switch operating member along one of the paths upon movement of the switch operating member along the other of the paths from a rest position. An interlock is provided between the switch operating members of a pair of switch assemblies so that only one function of one of the switch assemblies can be operated at a time.
