PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a content amount by a concrete numerical value, and suitably use it as a disposable container when data is collected by performing, e.g. a urine collection for one day portion by providing a window section on at least one side wall of the container, and at the same time, providing a graduation for measuring on the edge of the window section. SOLUTION: For the external member, a paper board having a shape retentivity is used, and a window section 11 is formed by providing a vertically long punched out slit at approx. the center of one side wall 8, and on both edges of the surface of the window section 11, a graduation 12 for measuring is provided by printing, e.g. from 50 to 500 ml with an interval of 10 ml. Then, an internal member is affixed to the rear surface of such an external member, and the internal member is a film-form sheet having a double layer structure wherein polyethylene having a barrier property is laminated, and is made transparent so that a content in the container can be seen from the window section 11, and the amount can be measured. Also, in order to make the measuring by this container more accurate, a simple shaperetaining utensil 14 made of a paper board or the like, which forcibly keeps the shape of the container, is provided. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified utensil which is usable as weighing cup, funnel and strainer. SOLUTION: This utensil 10 contains a main body 12 having a side wall 18 making up an upper opening part 26 and a lower opening part. Material flows through the upper opening part 26 and the lower opening part to passage the material through a funnel. A flange 32 is extended outward from the side wall 18 and acts as base for supporting the utensil 10. The undersurface of the flange 32 contains a plurality of shoulders for stability when the utensil 10 is used as funnel. A flow barrier 14 has a plug part 50 to close the lower opening part for use of the utensil 10 as weighing cup. The flow barrier 14 also has a handle part 52 patterned after a flange with a groove. This part is placed in the main body 12 and recesses 64 of the flange with a groove form an opening part for sieving the material within the utensil 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO

PURPOSE: To accurately measure a predetermined amt. of a lumpy and powdery article by directly connecting a product receiving part to a pipe functioning as a handle/grip provided with a movable piston. CONSTITUTION: A product receiving part 3 is constituted of a flat plate-shaped front 4 or an arch-shaped front 5, the side walls 8, 9 connected thereto and a circular or oval bottom part and directly connected to pipe 15 functioning as a handle 4/grip 16 provided with a movable piston 17. When a lumpy and powdery article is weighed by this apparatus, the measuring amt. is regulated by the movable piston 17 and the piston is inserted into a storage container to take out the article and the excessive article is returned to the container from a ridge 14 by rotating the amount measuring device 1 and, therefore, the article can be simply and accurately measured. PURPOSE:To obtain a correcting method for a section of an uniform measuring receptacle, by a method wherein a minute increase or decrease amount in liquid in a receptacle is divided by an increase or decrease in pressure of a liquid column, and a correction body is cut or added according to the dividing results. CONSTITUTION:Water flow paths 3 and 2 and a pressure measuring path 5, in which a differential pressure converter 6 is situated in the middle of the path 5, are installed in a receptacle 1, and a correction body 4 having an uniform section is located in the receptacle 1. After the receptacle 1 is filled with fluid through an inlet path 2, the inlet path 2 is closed. An inlet path 3 is then opened, and an approximately constant amount of liquid is flowed out intermittently. With this a decreasing height of a liquid column, which is due to a decrease amount in output of the differential pressure converter, is measured. After liquid in the receptacle 1 flows out, an intermittent flow amount is divided by the decreasing height of the liquid column, and the spherical surface of the correction body 4 is modified by cutting and adding according to the division results to change the section. This causes the uniformalization of the section of the receptacle 1 when the correction body 4 is set into a condition to be placed in the receptacle 1.

Systems, methods, and apparatuses for analyzing histopathology images to determine the presence of certain predetermined abnormalities. The system processes histopathology images to identify/highlight regions of interest (e.g., a region that may comprise parts of a tumor, cancerous cells, or other predetermined abnormality) for subsequent review by a pathologist or other trained professional. For example, the system may process histopathology images of H&E-stained lymph node tissue to identify potentially cancerous cells within the histopathology images.

A cartridge for evaluating the volume of an aliquot of liquid is described. The cartridge can have one or more well tabs that pivot into a position in which liquid dispensed into a corresponding well is placed in contact with a capillary and surface tension draws the liquid from the well into the capillary. Comparison of the liquid-air interface with markings on or near the capillary, can reveal the volume of liquid dispensed. One or more additional features, such as well tabs that are stable in a substantially vertical orientation and/or a groove for protecting and/or self-aligning the capillary can ensure that the device operates properly.
