CONSTITUTION:The transfer-type thermal recording sheet 4 comprises a water- soluble resin material 6 obtained by dispersing a dye having a melting point of not higher than 140 deg.C in a water-soluble resin and the sealing film 1 provided on the resin material 6 on the side faced to a thermal head so as to prevent the resin material 6 from leaking. When the sheet 4 is heated from the upper side of the sealing film 1, a portion of the dye contained in the resin material 6 is melted, and exudes through minute pores of the resin material 6 onto a recording paper, thereby performing recording. The water-soluble resin may be casein, gelatine, denatured starch or the like. The dye may be an anthraquinone or azo- disperse dye.
