Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Ultraleicht- Fluggerät, das eine Zulassung als Ultraleicht-Fluggerät, sowie eine Straßenzulassung erhält. Beide Zulassungen erfüllen die üblichen nationalen Bestimmungen des Landes, in dem das Ultraleicht-Fluggerät zugelassen wird. Erfindungsgemäß wird eine Ultraleicht-Fluggerät Gondel vorgestellt, die aus einen Rahmen (11), der einen Motor (12) mit einem Getriebe umschließt, vier Rädern und einer Sitzbank für zwei Personen besteht.

Diese Gondel ermöglicht den Flug, sowie die Fahrt auf öffentlichen Straßen und im Gelände. Der Antrieb des Propellers wird durch einen auskuppelbaren Antriebsstrang erreicht. Dieser führt von einem Motor (12), der auch für den Fahrbetrieb über ein Getriebe (13) mit mehreren Gangstufen verfügt, zum Propeller. So ergibt sich eine optimale Nutzung des Motors für den Flugbetrieb, sowie auch für den Fahrbetrieb.

Das Fahrwerk besitzt exzellente Geländefahreigenschaften und hervorragende Traktion. Aus dieser Kombination ergeben sich neue Möglichkeiten der Nutzung eines Ultraleicht-Fluggerätes. Für das Gesamtkonzept ist es erforderlich, dass der Flügel für den Fahrbetrieb kompakt und mit wenigen Handgriffen auf und abrüstbar ist. Erfindungsgemäß ist hierfür ein Teleskopflügel (62) entwickelt worden.

An alternative embodiment includes two additional nacelles attached to the fuselage instead of having the auxiliary thrusters. A redundant computerized flight control system maintains stability of the vehicle as it transitions from one flight mode to another.
