A chair assembly mounting apparatus is disclosed which may be employed to mount a chair, gondola, platform, etc. to a hanger arm for use in a chairlift or the like. The apparatus provides a movable connection between the chair frame and hanger arm which reduces vibration and fatigue and yet damps or resists excessive motion. The mounting apparatus includes a rubber-like member which encircles a frame portion, preferably having a flange thereon, and in turn is encircled by a support housing rigidly mounted to the hanger arm. Movement of the frame relative to the hanger arm causes the flange to resiliently displace the rubber-like member. |

A guide device for supplying a T-bar in the correct position to a skier. In association with a conventional T-bar ski lift, there is provided a guide unit having a pair of parallel conveyor belts whose lower courses travel in the same direction of movement as the adjacent portion of the ski lift. The pair of belts is positioned below and aligned with the lift so that the T-bar can be guided therebetween with the cross-bar of the T being carried along and guided by the lower courses of the belts. The lower course of belts travel at a faster speed than does the lift. The skier waits at the discharge end of the conveyor and the T-bar is thus presented to him in the correct position for engagement of his body and movement up the slope in a conventional manner. The T-bar arrives well before the corresponding position of attachment to the lift cable so that ample time is given to the skier to grab the T-bar. The device can be arranged for the usual two-person T-bar lift or can be arranged for a one-person lift.

STANTIAL T |
A vertically adjustable suspension assembly of general utility preferably supported on a trolley operating in an overhead track. The assembly includes loose fitting, telescopic tubes the lower one of which supports a clutch plate having a sharp edge projecting through the tube wall and biased into locking engagement with the interior surface of the upper tube to lock the assembly in any selected adjusted position. Operating means at the lower end of the assembly functions to release the clutch and to adjust the tubes to a desired new position. Release of the handle automatically locks the assembly against extension. The assembly is of general utility as, for example in hospitals and sick rooms to support numerous sick room items.

An installation for ensuring the departure sequence of skiers towed along a path defined by a continuously moving ski lift cable is provided with a plurality of tow bars which releasably engage with the ski lift cable to transport skiers up a ski slope. A mechanism is provided which automatically responds to the movement of a skier past a predetermined point for individually positioning the tow bars in releasable engagement with the moving ski lift cable whereby a skier can grasp the moving tow bar and be towed up the ski slope.
