PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed which comprises a deck with a foot section adjustable in length along the flat surface of the foot section, thereby eliminating the need of removing or adding a component from or to the bed in order to control the pressure onto the heels of a patient.SOLUTION: The bed comprises a foot prop 56 on an adjustable length deck foot section 52, and a mattress 20 having a length-and-thickness-adjustable foot section 24 and a thickness-adjustable heel section. The adjustability of the deck 10 and the mattress 20 allows sizing of the bed to the occupant as well as heel management. The foot prop 56 is also adjustable. |

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply no oppressing feeling to the body by eliminating displacement of the body when raising a back.SOLUTION: A supine table bottom control method includes a back bottom 31 for receiving the user's back, and a knee bottom 33 for receiving the user's knee part; and raises the user's back and knees by raising and lowering the back bottom and the knee bottom. When raising or lowering the back bottom or the knee bottom, a control circuit for controlling the raising and lowering of the back bottom and the knee bottom performs inclination control such that the back bottom end is made higher or lower than the knee bottom end. |

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed device whose mechanisms for rolling or undulating the floorboard can be selectively operated. SOLUTION: This bed device has a rolling driving means 35 to roll its floorboard 61 in the width direction, an undulating driving means 71 to undulate the floorboard 61 in the longitudinal direction, and a control device to control these driving means. The control device has a control part, mutual driving inhibition circuits, and a forced recovery circuit. The control part, to which order signals to drive motors 37 and 73 of the driving means 35 and 71 are inputted, outputs output signals based on the inputted order signals. The mutual driving inhibition circuits prevent the pair of motors from being driven at the same time. And the forced recovery circuit operates the second motor before the first motor is operated for rolling the floorboard 61 and preferentially returns the floorboard 61 to its original condition as it is not raised. |

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a playless lift column which has a small and compact structure and holds a large adjusting and turning area by providing a guide piece at least in one of profiles to mesh with each other and guide with each other in two fitting systems to form guides. SOLUTION: Guides 8a and 14a are respectively arranged in lift cylinders 10a and 23a. An inside profile 53 is slidably guided in a fitting system in an outside profile 54 slightly larger than that by the guide 14a. Similarly, the guide 8a is composed of an inside profile 51 and an outside profile 52. In order to maintain a guide playless as much as possible between the two profile 53 and profile 54, in the outside profile 54, an adjustable or blocking-up guide piece 55 is provided in a position dislocated by spatially facing each other in its lower end area. The guide piece 55 is adjusted so that the axes of the outside profile 54 and the inside profile 53 can conform to each other as much as possible. |

PURPOSE: To improve folding performance of a bed, expandability of a mattress, accessibility of a patient, serviceability, controllability and such by installing a means, which restricts fluid shift to the first and the second directions by strengthening restriction of the fluid flow that flows one side of a valve seat and weakening the restriction of the flow that flows the other side of the valve seat. CONSTITUTION: A valve device includes a double action cartridge valve 344 installed inside a housing 346. In a condition that the outer member of a cartridge valve 344 is placed at a halfway and valve seats 360d and 370b are both not closed, air may flow from a high-pressure chamber 350 to a control chamber 356 through a passage 364, and further, flows to a low-pressure chamber 352. A valve member 369 is contacted to the valve seat 360d by shifting of an extended member 370 from a position, where the extended member is completely standing against a base-part member, to the above part of the extended member. A mattress cell, related to a valve device 342, shrinks to cause an internal pressure becomes conformable to that of the low-pressure chamber 352 because an air-flow opening 357 is opened. |

PURPOSE: To provide a bed system, which can be easily used and easily assembled, by using air bags at the lower parts of frames hingelinked for holding up the head part of a bed, and using the 2nd set of air bags for holding up a bed section under the knees of a user. CONSTITUTION: A canvas bag cover 8 integrally holds a 1st section 5, 2nd section 6 and further 3rd section 7 of a sectional matress holding unit. A hinge part 22 is provided at the U-shaped end of aluminum pipe at the 1st section 5. The 2nd section 6 is similarly formed as well and respective U-shaped legs are shorter than the case of the 1st section 5. Then, its U shape exists in the reverse direction of the 1st section 5, respective legs are finished at a hinge part 23, and the hinge 23 is fitted into the receiver pipe of a clamp 20 similarly to the hinge 22. The 2nd section 6 has an electric switch 18 and the 1st section 5 has a similar switch 19 as well. A plastic expandable air bag 10 at the end of the head part and an air bag 11 at the leg part are housed in a canvas outer cover and any one of the head part and leg part of the bed or the both can be adjusted by the operation of a user. |
