The method for setting the weft insertion condition in the loom includes: a step of selecting 2 weft insertion series corresponding to the weft yarns to be switched by a worker at a setting tool; and as accompanying with the generation of switching command signals based on the above step, a step of executing the switching of the controlling values of the weft insertion-related devices which are the object of the switching, on the 2 already selected weft insertion series by the setting tool.
