81 | Warp and weft fabric based on predominantly untwisted multifilament technical threads and method for producing the same | JP2007009615 | 2007-01-18 | JP2007169873A | 2007-07-05 | AUCAGNE JEAN; BOMPARD BRUNO; BRUYERE ALAIN; DEBAILLE CHRISTIAN; GERMAIN BERTRAND; LAMARIE JEAN-PAUL; MARTINET LAURENT; PERRET FRANCK; VEAUVILLE JEAN-FRANCOIS |

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a textile structure intended for a composite material, which has little fine pores even using threads with a high yarn count and allows sufficient penetration of resin.
SOLUTION: The fabric composed of multifilament threads is characterized in that at least 80% of the weight of the constituent warp and weft satisfies the followings: (a) the yarn count to be used for a fabric weight per unit area is greater than the conventional case; (b) the thread has a torsion not greater than the original torsion; and (c) the width is greater than or equal to an original width before weaving over the entire length. When the weight ratio of weft to warp is ≥80/20, the threads having the above characteristics constitute all threads in a direction composed of the larger parts by weight of the threads, and when the ratio is smaller than 80/20, these threads constitute all threads of the fabric. The fiber volume ratio is approximately constant throughout the fabric and is greater than the fiber volume ratio of conventional fabric to use thread having smaller yarn count as a base material.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rotor with a large allowance of rotational speed by impregnating a spiral woven fabric having warp yarns whose specific modulus becomes higher outward with resin, laminating several of the prepregs and molding them with heat. SOLUTION: Acrylonitrile carbon fibers are used as weft 3, while glass fibers, aramide fibers, boron fibers, carbon fibers and their mixed fibers are used as warp 2 to weave a fabric, as a group of warp yarns are arranged so that their specific modulus becomes continuously or stepwise higher from inside toward outer side whereby the objective spiral woven fabric is obtained with a unit weight of 300g/m<2> , inner diameter of 60mm and the outer diameter of 200mm where the interval of the warp yarns 2 becomes narrower toward the outside. Then, the spiral woven fabric is impregnated with a liquid epoxy resin, several of the prepreg are laminated in the spiral direction, then thermoset to give the objective rotor.

PURPOSE:To improve ventilation and catchment and drainage effects by forming the air gaps of cord sections while lightening a solid structure-shaped net and facilitating handling by forming the cord sections parting mesh holes in a hollow solid shape as the net. CONSTITUTION:A net A having solid structure composed of surface and rear bases 3, 4 by a net texture having comparatively coarse meshes and connecting thread 5 connecting the surface and rear bases 3, 4 is manufactured through a means such as braiding, weaving, synthetic-resin formation, etc., and cord sections 2 parting mesh holes 1 are formed in a hollow solid shape. Reticulate pipes made of fibers or a synthetic resin are crossed and bonded, thus manufacturing a net, in which the cord sections are composed of the reticulate pipes.

A wrappable textile sleeve and method of construction thereof is provided. The textile sleeve includes an elongate wall extending along a longitudinal axis between opposite ends with lengthwise extending edges extending along the longitudinal axis between the opposite ends. The wall is woven from lengthwise extending warp yarns and circumferentially extending weft yarns with at least some of the weft yarns being heat-set to impart a self curling bias on the wall to bring the edges into overlapping relation with one another. Further, the weft yarns form a plurality of discrete annular bands that extend circumferentially about the longitudinal axis with adjacent bands having different picks-per-inch from one another to provide the sleeve with enhance regions of flexibility, self-curling bias and hoop strength.

A spirally woven fabric as well as a prepreg and a rotary body each using the fabric therein is adapted for use as materials for high-speed rotary bodies such as flywheels for electric power storage. The fabric composed of interwoven warps and wefts is such that its warps are arranged in a spiral direction, and the warps positioned more outside in the radial (weft) direction have a higher specific elastic modulus in the warp direction than those positioned more inside in the radial direction whereby a rotary body made of the fabric is enabled to be rotated at a higher rotating speed without breakage of the wefts and consequent peeling-off between the warps.
