CONSTITUTION: Coarse powder or fine powder of devil's-tongue is brought into contact with a treating solution comprising one or more of 0.1W5wt% organic acid or its salt, one or more of a saccharide, rice cake soaked in water, a solution of a saccharide, and a polyhydric alcohol, and water, having a water content including water contained in the rice cake soaked in water, the solution of saccharide, and the polyhydric alcohol 20W50wt%. The prepared product is separated into solid and liquid by a method, e.g., filtration, centrifugation, etc. and, if necessary, washed. The product is then dried.
