After the stirring, the mixture is allowed to stand as it is for about 40min to make the material absorb water thoroughly. Tlhe mixture is then kneaded while adding tepid water in an amount of 1.5 times that of the water described above to form a somewhat hard colloid, to which milk of lime or sodium carbonate solution as a coagulating agent is added. The mixture is formed into the thin sheet 1, which is placed in the hollow 4 of the bottom force 3 having almost the same thickness as the sheet 1, and punched by a plurality of punching blades 5 in the form of an irregular cloud shape of the top force 2 to give the small pieces 6.
