PURPOSE: A system and a method for controlling a booster pump for a fresh water generator for a vessel are provided to produce fresh water by maintaining the optimal vacuum state, thereby reducing expenses for operating the vessel. CONSTITUTION: A system for controlling a booster pump for a fresh water generator for a vessel includes a sea water feeding pump (10), a fresh water generator (20), a fresh water feeding pump (40), a pressing pump (50), a pressure sensor (60), control valves (80, 90, 100), and a control device (70). The sea water feeding pump pumps the seawater from the sea surface, thereby feeding the seawater. The fresh water generator receives the seawater from the seawater feeding pump, thereby converting the seawater into fresh water with a low pressure evaluating method. The ejector, which is a device generating low pressure inside the fresh water generator, regularly maintains the pressure of an outlet and converts the inside of the fresh water generator into a low pressure vacuum state. The fresh water feeding pump feeds the fresh water generated by the fresh water generator to a fresh water tank. The pressing pump is operated when discharging the seawater at a pressure over the pressure generated by the ejector to the outside of the vessel, thereby discharging the seawater to the outside of the vessel. The pressure sensor, which is installed between the ejector and the pressing pump, senses the pressure between the ejector and the pressing pump and transmits the sensed pressure. [Reference numerals] (20) Fresh water generator; (70) Control device; (AA) Wiring; (BB) Plumbing; (CC) Supply seawater; (DD) Supply fresh water; (EE) Discharge the seawater to the outside of a vessel
