PURPOSE: To provide a female connection member with the necessary minimum number of components brought into friction with each other by providing a cavity fitted to one end of a center base part and defined by a back wall portion, and a pair of side wall portions having an inner surface with a specified contour and an opening, and a hole portion having a male connection member. CONSTITUTION: This female connection member 10 is fixed to an inside of a center base part 12 by a rear stop member 13 and a forward traction member 15. A cavity 14 is defined by an inner surface 16 having a second specified contour of a back wall portion 18 and inner surfaces 22, 24 having a third specified contour of a pair of side wall portions 26, 28. A spherical member 46 is arranged inside a hole portion 44 pierced through a first end portion 38 of a male connection member 40, and shaft members 48, 50 opposite to its axial direction are supported by side wall portions 26, 28. A bearing ring assembly 56 is fixed to the first end portion 38 of the male connection member 40 in a removable manner. A female connection member with the necessary minimum number of components which must be movable relative to each other can be obtained. |

PURPOSE: To ensure the function in a high-speed train at low cost with a lighter weight by forming a joint of a toroidal part to be connected to one rolling stock and a support part to be connected to the other rolling stock, so that the connection can be performed even when both the parts are opposed to each other with large eccentricity.
CONSTITUTION: A composite toroidal articulated coupling element is formed of a metal plate 14 put between elastic material layers 15, a truncated conical plate 16 forms the support surface of the toroidal part 1, and a vertical shaft 17 is fixed to the center of a base plate 9 by a screw 19. The shaft 17 is fitted into the boring part 4 of the part 1 to leave a large clearance with the boring part 4, the clearance avoids the contact of the circumference of the shaft 17 with the boring part 4 in the vertical movement in traction or braking, so that the shaft 17 makes contact with the boring part 4 only when an abnormal impact occurs. A circular cap 17 having a flat lower surface 18A is formed on the upper part of the shaft 17, and opposed to the smooth hard alloy toroidal ring 8 of the part 1. Since the fixing pin 21 of the part 1 is fitted into the fork 22 of a toroidal member 13, the slippage between the part 1 and the toroidal element 13 is eliminated in passing a sharp curve, and the part 1 can be relatively rotated.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection body for a joint connection type train allowing easy movement by walking between vehicles.
SOLUTION: The joint connection type train connection body is provided with a plurality of vehicles aligned in a longitudinal direction and a ball joint between a front end of the vehicle and a rear end of the vehicle at a front side of midway of a row relative to each of the vehicles. The respective vehicles have front ends in the longitudinal direction and the rear ends in the longitudinal direction. Each of the vehicles has a vehicle body; at least one truck placed with the vehicle body; and a turning coupling means for connecting the vehicle body to the truck. According to the present invention, the ball joint is arranged on a rolling flat surface of the connection body at a lower position than the turning joint means or at vertical height equal to the turning joint means.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling stock 1 including a terminal vehicle extended by a operator room optimized at curve so that the occupied area remains in a gauge.
SOLUTION: This rolling stock includes a terminal vehicle 2 extended by a operator room 3. The vehicle 2 and the operator room 3 have independent structures having an end turningly installed to the same bogie 5. Structure of the operator room 3 is cantilevered while independently supported by the bogie 5. The operator room 3 is connected to the control means 6, 7 for controlling the angular positioning of the operator room 3 against the bogie 5.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mutually connect two railway rolling stock applied to displacement around a lengthwise shaft without generating any resistance force so as to avoid any twist of car body by performing a rotary function and an impact absorbing function by different elements. SOLUTION: A swivel joint has a toroidal central part 3 having a truncated cone-shaped bearing surface 3A, balls 1 and 2 having a hollow conical central part 1A fitted on the truncated cone-shaped bearing surface 3A of this toroidal cental part 3, an elastic member, a disk 5 and a holding screw 6 containing a vertical pivot. In the balls 1 and 2, a first element 1 whose whole shape is a spherical shape is incorporated into an outside second element 2 rotatable arranged on the first element 1. An elastic element symmetrically arranged on both sides of the balls 1 and 2 and a lengthwise shaft of rolling stock imparts lengthwise directional high resiliency (flexibility) by absorbing energy. This elastic element provides sideways high rigidity. |

PURPOSE: To provide engaging friction surfaces of the minimum number by providing a female connection member having a cavity and a through opening, arranging one end of a male connection member inside the cavity, fixing a bearing ring assembly to a tip portion, arranging a spherical member in a hole of an end portion of the male connection member, and fitting and fixing other end portions to each other. CONSTITUTION: A first female connection member 20 is fixed to a center base part 12, and first side wall portions 26, 28 having a first cavity portion 14 and an opening are provided. A first end portion 38 of a first male connection member 40 is rotatable in the first cavity 14, and a first spherical member 46 is inserted in a first hole portion 44. Shaft members 48, 50 of the first spherical member 46 are arranged in the opening of the first female connection member 20. In addition, a first bearing ring assembly 56 is fixed to the first end portion 38. A slackless drawbar assembly 10 is provided with a second female connection member which is a mirror image of the first female connection member 20, and both second end portions of the first and second male connection members are connected and fixed to each other. The number of engaging friction surfaces can thus be minimized. |
