47 STRUCTURALLY SUPPORTED TIRE US15798450 2017-10-31 US20180050567A1 2018-02-22 James Alfred BENZING, II; Daniel Ray DOWNING; Joseph Carmine LETTIERI
A structurally supported tire includes a ground contacting annular tread portion, an annular hoop structure for supporting a load on the tire, a means for attachment to a vehicle rim, and a ply structure secured to a first axial limit and extending radially outward and between the hoop structure and the tread portion and further extending radially inward from between the hoop structure and tread portion to a second axial limit. The ply structure is secured to both the first axial limit and the second axial limit. The tread portion is secured to a radially outer surface of the ply structure. The hoop structure is secured to a radially inner surface of the ply structure.
48 NON-PNEUMATIC TIRE US15543066 2016-01-05 US20180001699A1 2018-01-04 Takanori SHOJI
There is provided a non-pneumatic tire (1) including: an attachment body (11) that is attached to an axle; a ring-shaped body (13) that surrounds the attachment body (11) from an outside in a tire radial direction, a plurality of connection members (15) that are disposed between the attachment body (11) and the ring-shaped body (13) along a tire peripheral direction and connect the attachment body (11) and the ring-shaped body (13) to each other, and a cylindrical tread member (16) that is externally mounted on the ring-shaped body (13), in which the ring-shaped body (13) and the connection member (15) are integrally formed by a injection molding in which a molding material is injected from the connection member (15) side toward the ring-shaped body (13) side, in which the tread member (16) includes a base rubber portion (41) that is positioned at an inside in the tire radial direction and a cap rubber portion (42) that is positioned at an outside of the base rubber portion (41) in the tire radial direction, in which rigidity of the base rubber portion (41) is lower than rigidity of the cap rubber portion (42), and in which the base rubber portion (41) is disposed at least in a portion positioned between the connection members (15) adjacent to each other in the tire peripheral direction in the ring-shaped body (13).

A tire includes a plurality of helical springs. Each helical spring includes a first end portion, a second end portion, and an arching middle portion. Each helical spring is interlaced with at least one other helical spring thereby forming a laced toroidal structure extending about an entire circumference of the tire.
52 Resilient wheel US3568748D 1969-02-17 US3568748A 1971-03-09 CALANDRO JOHN N; JAMES NORMAN J; PAVLICS FERENC
A resilient wheel comprising a woven wire tire clamped to the rim of a conical wheel disc. The tread surface of the wire tire has tread units comprising abrasive coated strips clamped to the wire tire and arranged in a herringbone pattern around the tread area of the tire. A relatively rigid annular frame is provided inside the wire tire that limits deflection of the tire under load.
