PURPOSE: A self-piercing rivet forging apparatus is provided to penetrate the upper plate of self-piercing connecting objects and to make the upper plate of the penetrating portion not to be completely sheared in the process of pressing in a lower plate, thereby reinforcing the connecting strength of the upper plate and lower plate by the penetrating portion. CONSTITUTION: A self-piercing rivet forging apparatus includes a first die member(20), a first fin member(30), a second die member(50), a second fin member(60), a third die member(80), and a third fin member(90). A cylindrical billet(101) is inserted into the first die member. The first fin member is inserted into the first die member and molds a centering groove(103) at the insertion end part of the billet. A reserve molding product, on which the centering groove is formed, is inserted into the second die member, and a plurality of protrusion parts(55) for molding a slit(5) are included in the inner side surface of the second die member. The second fin member is inserted into the second die member, is coupled to the protrusion parts, and extrudes and molds a shank part(3). The extrusion molding, in which the shank part is formed, is inserted into the third die member, and the head molding groove(85) for molding the head unit(1) is included in the third die member. The third fin member is insertably installed at the third die member and supports the extrusion molding. | ||||||

As a method for forming an anchor rivet from a cylindrical workpiece(M) using molds, a method for manufacturing an anchor rivet comprises: a first process(S1) of cutting the cylindrical workpiece to a length shorter than that of the anchor rivet; a second process(S2) of extending length of the workpiece while forming a cutout groove(13) in one end of the workpiece using a punch(P1) after injecting the cut workpiece into a mold(4); a third process(S3) of injecting the cutout grooved semi-finished product into a mold and forming a head portion(12a) on the other end of the workpiece using a punch; a fourth process(S4) of injecting the head portion-formed semi-finished product into a mold(4a) and forming an inserting hole(15) in the head portion using a punch(P2); and a fifth process(S5) of injecting the inserting hole-formed semi-finished product into a mold(4b), and simultaneously reducing volume of the head portion to form the head portion in a complete head form and forming a projection on an inner side of the inserting hole using a punch(P3). | ||||||
