PURPOSE: To receive an electrical element having a long connection and to achieve miniaturization by forming support, which receives the electrical element to mount the element on a rim, from a material with good electrical and heat insulating properties, and forming a longitudinal groove in which a long electrical connection is housed. CONSTITUTION: Wires 31, 32, each of which is long enough to maintain an electrical connection between electrically and thermally insulative support 2 and an electrical element 3 even if the electrical element 3 is drawn out, are connected therebetween. The ends of the wires 31, 32 are formed into springs 310, 320, and a groove 20 is formed so that when the electrical element 3 is fitted into the support 2, the springs 310, 320 are compressed and housed in the groove 20. This constitution enables the electrical element 3 to move in and out between a state under which the springs 310, 320 are fully expanded and a state under which the springs 310, 320 are fully contracted and housed in the groove 20. Thus the support can be miniaturized and mounted in a heat- resisting fashion. COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO

A backshell for an electrical assembly is provided. The backshell includes a shield termination body having a connector end and a relief end. The connector end is configured to join to a cable end of an electrical connector. A face of the connector end is oriented at an angle with respect to a face of the relief end. A strain relief is provided having a shield end and a cable clamp end. A face of the shield end is oriented at an angle with respect to a face of the cable clamp end. The shield end is rotatably coupled to the relief end of the shield termination body. The shield end of the strain relief is rotatable with respect to the relief end of the shield termination body so that the face of the cable clamp end of the strain relief is positionable at variable angles with respect to the face of the connector end of the shield termination body.

The present invention relates to a steering roll connector for a vehicle. The steering roll connector includes a roll stator, a roll rotor, a roller plate, and a locking unit. The roll stator is fixed to a vehicle. The roll rotor is coaxial to the stator, is rotatable relative to the stator, and includes a rotor connector provided with a steering wheel connector. The roller plate is rotatably disposed between the roll stator and the roll rotor. When a steering wheel shaft of the vehicle is not installed on the steering roll connector, the locking unit maintains the steering roll connector in a neutral position. When the steering wheel shaft is installed on the steering roll connector, the locking unit enables the roll rotor to rotate relative to the roll stator.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of absorbing the thermal expansion, thermal shrinkage, or displacement of a substrate, and diagonally fitting male side and female side connectors.SOLUTION: A male side terminal 12 of a male side connector 10 and a female side terminal 22 of a female side connector 20 are formed to slide while contacting with each other, so that the thermal expansion, thermal shrinkage, or displacement of substrates 1 can be absorbed by sliding of the male side terminal 12 and the female side terminal 22. The male side terminal 12 and the female side terminal 22 are formed so as to rotate about a contact P while contacting with each other, so that the male side terminal 12 and the female side terminal 22 can be attached an detached at an optional rotating position. Therefore, for example, when one substrate 1 is connected with the other substrate 1 while being fixed on an installation target surface, the other substrate 1 can be diagonally positioned to one substrate to fit the connectors 10 and 20, thereby facilitating the connecting work of the substrates 1. |
