PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detonator of high reliability for detonating powder and a weapon.
SOLUTION: This detonator for detonating powder and a weapon having high reliability is achieved by using a micro mechanical device operated to interrupt a bypass circuit of comparatively low impedance connected with a trigger mechanism of comparatively high impedance in parallel. Electric circumvention is executed as the result of the movement of the micro mechanical device to permit the detonation under a specific condition. An electric bypass is removed by breaking at least one electric bridge of low impedance as a part of the bypass circuit when the micro mechanical device receives specific trigger energy as generally-high power such that generated during a shot and an impact shock. Further a micro electric mechanical system (MEMS) can be applied as the micro mechanical device, and the bridge is at least one spring as a part of the MEMS device and a part of the bypass circuit.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further reduce the size of an ignition device and improve the safety.
SOLUTION: The micro electromechanical switch (MEMS) device comprises a semiconductor wafer, a first dielectric layer formed on the semiconductor wafer, and a second semiconductor layer formed on the first layer. A first latching movable shuttle 103 is formed in the second layer, and, in response to predetermined acceleration of the MEMS device, is moved to a first direction with respect to the wafer to change the operation condition of the MEMS device from a first switch state to an intermediate switch state. A second movable shuttle 105 is formed in the first shuttle, and, in response to the force acting by heat, is moved to a second direction with respect to the first shuttle to change the operation condition of the MEMS device from the intermediate switch state to a second switch state. In the second switch state, an opening in the second movable shuttle is aligned with an opening in the wafer, and an optical signal can pass through the opening.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery to prevent discharge, when the battery is not being used.
SOLUTION: The battery has at least one electrode whose surface is nanostructured. The nanostructured surface is positioned so as to prevent contact of battery electrolyte fluid to the electrode, when the battery is not being used and thereby prevent the battery discharge. When a voltage runs across the nanostructured surface, the electrolyte fluid is made to permeate into the nanostructured surface and brought into contact with the electrode, resulting in the actuation of the battery.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a safety locking and firing stand-by device having a clock mechanism that it has many drawbacks, e.g. the clock mechanism is sophisticated and costs greatly in manufacture and assembling, many components have an error and burrs frequently and since it functions accurately only when the components are assembled strictly, manufacturing and assembling cost is increased.
SOLUTION: The safety locking and firing stand-by device has a working body which is locked by a safety locking element at a safety locking position before firing stand-by time. When the safety locking element moves to a release position, the working body is released to start a motion related to a support. After firing stand-by time, the working body is located at a working position through a rotational motion related to a support. A delay element is driven during the process of rotational motion of a trigger to delay the rotational motion of the trigger. The working body and the delay element constitute an inner ring and an outer ring, respectively, having no physical shaft.
