101 Change speed apparatus for a tractor US10011663 2001-12-05 US20020042852A1 2002-04-11 Tomeo Umemoto; Masatoshi Iwamoto
A change speed apparatus for a tractor includes a main change speed device (24) having a combination of gear trains mounted on a first shaft and a second shaft extending parallel to each other, for driving a change speed output shaft (58) at a plurality of speeds, and a backward and forward drive switching device (21) cooperable with the main change speed device (24) to produces forward drive and backward drive in an equal number of speeds. Between the main change speed device (24) and the backward and forward drive switching device (21), the forward drive is transmitted through the first shaft (45) and the backward drive is transmitted through the second shaft (44). With this construction, a group of gears for returning reversed drive to a forward drive transmission shaft is omitted from the backward and forward drive switching device (21). Consequently, the backward and forward drive switching device has a reduced fore and aft length, and thus the entire change speed apparatus also has a reduced fore and aft length.
102 Transmission and PTO system for tractors and utility cycles US867939 1986-05-29 US4658662A 1987-04-21 Kenneth P. Rundle
A speed change transmission is shown in variation having an extremely wide range of selectively engageable speed drive ratios for use with garden tractors and utility cycles with tractor mode. The transmission also serves as a speed range transmission for use with a hydrostatic transmission in a garden tractor. In variation the transmission is shown with a new two speed PTO systme featuring selectively engageable rear, middle and front outputs. The transmissions and PTO system are extremely compact by virtue of an unique creep speed reduction train, a simplified constant mesh shift means, a PTO shaft journalled coaxially within a hollow transmission mainshaft and a minimum number of components arranged and adapted so that many serve multiple functions.
103 Change-speed gear in group-type construction US539327 1983-10-05 US4580459A 1986-04-08 Walter Zenker; Karl-Heinz Husebusch
A change-speed gear in group-type construction with a main gear-shifting mechanism and a group gearing connected thereto. A primary shaft drives a main shaft selectively via gears of an intermediate shaft or by direct coupling of the primary shaft and the main shaft and at different speeds. The gears of the main shaft furthermore mesh with gears of the group stages of the group gearing; these latter gears are freely rotatably mounted on an output shaft and can be coupled therewith. To eliminate components and to provide a compact change-speed gear, one gear of the intermediate shaft, in addition to its function as shifting gear of the main gear-shifting mechanism, at the same times performs the function of a reversing gear for the reverse group of the group gearing.
104 PTO-Driving of double-clutch-incorporated type transmission US731330 1985-05-06 US4565102A 1986-01-21 Masayoshi Miyahara; Masao Takagi
PTO-driving of a double-clutch-incorporated type transmission characterized in that the PTO-driving comprises a first gearing mechanism interlocking with a PTO main shaft, a second gearing mechanism interlocking with a running-travel main shaft, and a coupling means functioning to selectively drivably couple the said gearing mechanisms with a PTO transmission shaft.
105 Combination creeper gear and control system for a transmission US172616 1980-07-28 US4373409A 1983-02-15 Vasile Benedek; Volker D. Huckler
A combination creeper gear and control system for a transmission is disclosed having a range selector gear followed by a change speed gear. The combination includes an engine-driven drive shaft connected through a creeper gear mechanism to an input shaft which extends into the transmission. The creeper mechanism includes a drive gear mounted on the drive shaft, a driven gear mounted on the input shaft and a lay shaft aligned parallel to both the drive shaft and the input shaft. The lay shaft supports a compound gear which includes a first and a second gear, wherein the first gear meshes with the drive gear and the second gear meshes with the driven gear. The combination further includes a synchronizer located between the drive gear and driven gear which is selectively engageable between a direct mode and a creep mode. In the direct mode, the drive shaft is directly connected to the input shaft, while in the creep mode, the drive shaft is connected to the input shaft by way of the compound gear. The creeper mechanism is activated by a selector control which consists of a first and a second shift rod and a locking pin movably positioned between the two shift rods. The first shift rod is associated with the creeper gear mechanism while the second shift rod is associated with the range selector gear. The locking pin controls the movement of the first and second shift rods such that the creep mode cannot be selected when the range selector gear is in a high speed range, but which can be selected in either a forward or reverse low-speed range.

PURPOSE: To dispense with an increase of a dimension in the axial direction of a speed change gear by providing a sub-speed changing mechanism with a countershaft, third and fourth gears, which are supported on the countershaft, and a switching means and constituting the system in such a manner that the torque is transmitted to the third gear from a first gear and to a second gear from the fourth gear. CONSTITUTION: When an extra low speed stage is selected, a rotation of a third gear 22, which is driven by a rotation of a first gear G1a, that rotates together with an input shaft 11, and that of a counter shaft 12, which has been formed in one body with the third gear 22, are transmitted to a fourth gear 23 via a switching means 31 in order to drive both a second gear, which is engaged with the fourth gear 23, and a driving gear G3a of a third- speed gear train G3, which has been formed in one body with the gear 23. The rotation of the gear G3a is transmitted to a driven gear G3b which forms the third speed gear train G3 together with the gear G3a. The rotation is then transmitted to an output shaft 13, which supports the driven gear G3b in such a way that the gear G3b rotates together with the shaft 13, so that a driving shaft 43 is rotated at an extra low speed via an output gear 28, a ring gear 29 and a differential gear 42. Meanwhile, an extra low speed gear mechanism 20 (sub-speed change mechanism) is engaged with the gear train of a main speed change mechanism. COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
