73 Safety device for curtain controller US15355531 2016-11-18 US10113594B2 2018-10-30 Ching-Hsiang Cheng
A safety device for a curtain controller is provided. The safety device comprises a base, a bead chain wheel, and a cover. A shaft sleeve having a conical shape is disposed in a through hole of the base to connect a shaft's terminal and thus be fixed in a sleeving hole, having a shape to fit the shaft sleeve, of the bead chain wheel, so that the motions of the shaft sleeve and the bead chain wheel are linked. A bead chain is wound on the bead chain wheel. When the bead chain is pulled down, the shaft sleeve can drive the rotation of the bead chain wheel. The upper part of the cover is pivotally connected to the base, and the lower part of the cover buckles the base. Therefore, when the bead chain is instantly pulled down, the cover can be opened to drop the bead chain wheel.

A safety coupling has a driving coupling member engaged with a driven coupling member by a frictional connection. The frictional connection can be disconnected by activation of a release element. The release element can be activated by a centrifugal device wherein a centrifugal unit of the centrifugal device is radially moveable to interact with a shift gate in dependence of the revolution speed of the centrifugal unit and the slip between the driving coupling member and the driven coupling member. The centrifugal device includes a stop to limit the centrifugal force applied to the centrifugal unit.

77 DISC COUPLING BREAK MONITORING DEVICE US13826491 2013-03-14 US20140266754A1 2014-09-18 Mike Hennessy; Daniel R. Fagan; James Krejci
A break monitoring device for use with a disc coupling having an outermost disc disposed on a disc pack. There is an RFID tag mounted on the outermost disc which transmits a signal to a receiver or monitor. The RFID may be an active or passive tag. When the RFID tag is broken due to the outermost disc failing, the signal sent to the receiver is different than the signal sent during normal operation. This triggers an alert that the outermost disc has failed and the machine can be shut down in an orderly manner.
78 TORQUE-LIMITING COUPLING US13980683 2012-01-18 US20140011599A1 2014-01-09 Seamus Garvey; James Simonds
Described herein is a torque-limiting coupling provided for connecting coaxial, first and second rotating shafts. The coupling includes a first connecting part on an end of the first shaft and a second connecting part on an end of the second shaft. An interconnector joins to the first connecting part at a first engagement formation, and joins to the second connecting part at a second engagement formation. The first engagement formation threadingly joins the interconnector to the first connecting part. The second engagement formation can resist rotational movement of the interconnector relative to the second connecting part but allows movement of the interconnector in the axial direction of the shafts. When a torque transmitted by the shafts exceeds a predetermined value, the interconnector rotates relative to the first connecting part at the threaded engagement formation. The resistance to rotational movement relative to the second connecting part causes the interconnector to move in an axial direction of the shafts, and come out of engagement with the first and/or the second connecting part.
