The enable code is input by the electronic detection of at least one position of the grip (27) relative to the force transmission unit (8). The device has a coupling mechanism via which the force transmission unit (8) can be non-rotatably coupled either to the fastening unit (1) or to the grip (27).

The release of the outer bolt (42) of the bolt assembly (12) allows the outer bolt (42) to project outwardly and to lock the container notwithstanding the fact that the bolt has not been reset by the operator of the lock. The bolt is self-contained and can be substituted into many existing lock mechanisms of the mechanical type and into some of the existing electronic dial combination locks, to provide the auto-locking enhancement.

Ein Zahlenkombinationsschloß (1) hat einen Drehknopf (3), mit welchem eine Nockenscheibe (4) verdrehbar ist, um einen an einem Riegel (2) des Schlosses (1) angelenkten Einfallhebel (5) zu betätigen und dadurch den Riegel in Offenstellung zurückzuziehen. Dies geht nur bei richtiger Einstellung eines Öffnungsgeheimnisses, welches ebenfalls mit Hilfe des Drehknopfes (3) durch mehrmalige Verdrehung eingestellt werden muß, wobei nach jeder Einstellung der Drehknopf (3) in axialer Richtung verstellbar ist, um einen Schalter (11) auf einer Leiterplatte (35) jeweils gemäß dem jeweiligen Einstellwert zu betätigen. Dadurch wird ein Elektromotor (12) angesteuert, der einen Kupplungsvorsprung (14) an einem Schieber (13) in den Bereich einer Gegenkupplung (15) der Nockenscheibe (4) bewegt, wenn das richtige Öffnungsgeheimnis eingegeben ist. Der Schieber (13) hat einen der Nockenscheibe (4) zugewandten, feststehenden Schiebevorsprung (20) und die Nockenscheibe (4) hat einen Gegenvorsprung (21), welcher beim Zurückdrehen der Nockenscheibe (4) zum Schließen des Riegels (2) in Wirkverbindung mit dem Schiebevorsprung (20) gelangt, so daß der Schieber (13) durch die Verdrehung der Nockenscheibe (4) beim Schließen des Schlosses (1) zwangsweise in seine Ausgangslage zurückverschoben wird, falls eine gegebenenfalls vorgesehene Rückstellfeder (22) versagt. Somit ist das Schloß in jedem Falle nach seinem Verschließen zum nächsten Öffnungsvorgang bereit, selbst wenn eine Rückstellfeder (22) den Schieber (13) nicht verschieben würde.
