PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper machine which has a small and effective press section and can reduce related costs. SOLUTION: This paper machine comprises a press section 4 for dehydrating a fiber material web 1 with a press nip, a forming means 2 which is placed on the forward side of the press section with respect to the travel direction of the web and is used for forming a paper sheet, and a drying section 3 which contains the first drying portion 8 having three or less drying cylinders 9, is placed on the backward side of the press section 4 and is used for drying the fiber material web. Two press rolls 5 are disposed to constitute the press nip. At least one press felt 6, 7 is disposed on both the surfaces of the fiber material web, and the fiber material web and at least one press felt on both the surfaces of the fiber material web are guided through the press nip. The fiber material web is dehydrated with the forming means until to give a drying degree of about 18%, and then partially wound on the three or less drying cylinders. Therein, the fiber material web is always supported from the forming means to the final end of the first drier group. COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a method for producing a wet nonwoven fabric by which the production line can be shortened so that a water jet can be applied to a fibrous web just after the formation of the fibrous web because the distance from a step for forming the fibrous web to a step for interlacing fibers is long and the production line cannot be shortened in a production process for a spunlace nonwoven fabric in a conventional wet process and an apparatus for production. SOLUTION: In a step for forming a fibrous web, raw material fibers and water are fed from a feeding part 3 for the raw material onto a wire conveying belt 2 to form a fibrous web W on the wire conveying belt 2. Water jets are applied from water jet nozzles 5 to the wire conveying belt 2 to complete the formation of a nonwoven fabric S on the wire conveying belt 2. Furthermore, the nonwoven fabric S is conveyed with a felt conveying belt 7 and fed to a drying drum 13. COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO

PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing a security paper having a paper making pattern which is integrated into a fiber web. CONSTITUTION: In this method for producing a security paper on a long net wire, when a moving paper web is formed, a fluid of a composition of viscosity for making a paper making pattern is jetted from above, preferably in advance of the dry line, by one or more jetting means. While the composition retains sufficient integrity to provide a discrete, continuous or discontinuous, linear paper making pattern at the surface of the finished paper, part of the composition is drawn into the paper web as water is drawn out of the web.
