PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for screening a medicament such as an insulin secretion promoter, having more powerful insulin secretion-promoting actions with minimized side effects (including low-blood glucose induction): and to provide a method for screening medicament such as more effective tumor metastasis inhibitor (e.g., MMP-2 inhibitor).
SOLUTION: The screening method using a fusion protein of an object protein and reporter luciferase is useful for screening a medicament such as an insulin secretion promoter having powerful insulin secretion-promoting actions with minimized side effects (including low-blood glucose induction). Besides, a transformed cell transferred with a polynucleotide encoding the fusion protein to be used in the method and a screening kit including the above transformed cell are also highly useful for screening a medicament as well.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |

A modified luciferase protein which is a sensor for molecules including cAMP is provided. The modified luciferase protein includes one or more heterologous amino acid sequences, at least one of which directly or indirectly interacts with cAMP. |
