PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intersection structure and a splashing bridge which enables the passage of a general road intersecting a passage for the transport of materials while forming the passage for the transport of materials by digging the ground under an elevated railroad. CONSTITUTION:Base end sections of the first and second bridge girders 10, 20 extended slantly upward toward the opposite banks 8 are vertically rotatably hinge-coupled and supported on bridge abutments 9 of both banks 8 respectively, a guide 30 is provided on the first bridge girder 10, and a gear (coupling body) 42 coupled with the guide 30 is provided on the second bridge girder 20 on the rear side of the intersection sections 18, 25 of the bridge girders 10, 20 respectively. When the gear 42 is lifted along the guide 30 by a power device 50, the bridge girders 10, 20 are lifted, and a ship can pass below the bridge girders 10, 20. The bridge girders 10, 20 invariably form a straddle-mounted structure via the three-hinge structure by the coupling of the gear 42 and guide 30 at the base end sections of the bridge girders 10, 20 and the intersection sections 18, 25 of the bridge girders 10, 20, and a large span is available.

A second torque detecting unit(32) is installed on a pair of secondary reduction gears(13) to detect bascule operating torque required to move a bridge girder. A controller controls the driving motor in accordance with the driving torque detected by the first torque detecting unit, and simultaneously controls the driving motor in accordance with the left and right bascule operating torque detected by the second torque detecting unit.
