Purge air 7 is blown onto a test piece 6 from the nozzle 1 thus constructed thereby to removed water 8 and vapor 9. An optical path 17 is supplied through an air reservoir 22 with a proper quantity of auxiliary air 18 so that the purging efficiency may be prevented from being deteriorated due to the turbulence established.
