CONSTITUTION: Display electrodes 2 composed of a thin copper plate are provided on the front 1a of a wiring board 1 for double-sided printed wiring and these are covered with Ni plating 3, Au, Pt plating 4, etc. On the other hand, lead wires and drive circuits 5 are disposed on the back 1b, and are then connected to the above display electrodes 2 by way of the conductors 7 in through-holes 6, these through- holes 6 being sealed by being filled with solders 8. Glass spacers are provided on the circumferential edge of the above wiring board 1 and a glass substrate 10 is placed thereon and these are hermetically bonded. An electrodhcromic solution 11 is injected into the space betweeen both and the assembly is hermetically sealed to form the display plate.
