CONSTITUTION: O-Ethyl-O-(2-nitro-5-methylphenyl-N-sec-butylphosphoroamide thionate (Butamiphos) or formula is mixed with a vegetable oil and applied to tobacco plant. The controlling activity of both components can be increased and the application rate can be lowered by the synergistic effect of the components. Even an axillary bud grown to several cm can be killed, and the sprouting of the secondary and the tertiary bud can be completely suppressed even under rainy conditions, and accordingly, the lavor for the control of sucker can be remarkably reduced. The concentrations of both components at the application stage are 250W2,000ppm, especially 500W2,000ppm for Butamiphos and 0.5W10%, especially 1W5% for vegetable oil.
