The hoist to travel along a predetermined track, comprises a bridge girder having two free ends and a hoist movably mounted on the bridge girder. There is a pair of end-beams, each supporting the girder at a respective one of its free ends. Each end -beam extends in a direction perpendicular to the bridge girder. A drive displaces the hoisting system along the track by causing each of the end beam to travel in the perpenciular direction on a respective series of a discrete gliding supports spacedly arranged along and parallel to the track.

67 METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING OVERHEAD CRANE RAIL ALIGNMENT SURVEYS PCT/US2007001801 2007-01-23 WO2007087317A3 2008-05-02 WICKHART JOHN C
A method and apparatus for conducting an overhead crane runway system survey uses a survey apparatus that is alternately pushed or pulled by an overhead crane. The survey apparatus, having a wheeled carriage, includes survey sighting targets, e.g., prisms, that are visible to survey personnel on the ground. XYZ data is there collected and a rail alignment profile, a rail elevation profile, a rail span profile, and/or a crane skew profile may be generated. The data and profiles generated may reviewed to ascertain whether the overhead rails conform to alignment specifications. Further, crane skew data may be reviewed to determine whether the crane itself may be misaligned.

The present invention relates to a device for supplying a solid lubricant to a crane wheel. The device for supplying the solid lubricant to the crane wheel is installed on the side surface of a crane wheel flange. The device for supplying the solid lubricant is installed on an attachment unit formed on the lower part of a crane body by connecting a connection unit formed on a casing member 2 with a bolt. A spring fixing unit is cut on the casing member 2 in order to fix and connect a spring. A bearing is inserted into the spring. A moving shaft on which a pair of snap ring connection grooves is formed is inserted into the bearing, and a snap ring is connected and fixed. One side of the moving shaft is inserted into a guide groove formed as a long hole on the casing member 2. After the other side of the moving shaft is inserted into the guide groove formed as the long hole on a casing member 1, the casing member 1 is attached to the casing member 2. A pair of the solid lubricant supplying devices is installed on the lower part of the crane body and individually has an X shape. When a worker takes fingers off the moving shaft after pulling the moving shaft to the rear side with hands and successively inputting a plurality of solid lubricants into an input port, the device for supplying the solid lubricant to the crane wheel flange supplies the lubricant into the crane wheel flange as the solid lubricant is attached to the crane wheel flange due to the tension of the spring when the crane moves. The device for supplying the solid lubricant to the crane wheel flange also prevents the crane wheel flange from being worn out by consistently maintaining optimal lubricating action.
