84 SHELF ROD FORK AND SHELF ROD PRONG BASE EP12858690.6 2012-05-08 EP2842422A1 2015-03-04 YANG, Baoqing

A pole holding fork includes a pole holding fork head (1) and a base (2) for the pole holding fork head. The pole holding fork head is provided with a connecting post (11) configured to connect with the base for the pole holding fork head, and the connecting post has an axial symmetric polygonal cross section and is provided with a locating groove (12). The base for the pole holding fork head includes a base body (21), a locating plate (22) and an elastic returning member (23); the base body is provided with a connecting hole (211) cooperating with the connecting post and a locating plate mounting groove (212) being communicated with the connecting hole (211); the locating plate arranged in the locating plate mounting groove is provided with a locating hole (221) cooperating with the connecting post; and the elastic returning member is arranged between the base body and the locating plate. During using, it only needs to press the locating plate inwardly, and adjust the pole holding fork head, and then release the locating plate, thereby realizing the orientation of the pole holding fork head. Thus the operation is simple and the orientation process is rapid.

85 SAIL PADDLE FOR STAND UP PADDLE BOARDS EP13781285.5 2013-04-23 EP2841332A1 2015-03-04 Siverts, Curt; Siverts, Hanson
A paddle for stand-up paddle boards includes a paddle blade at a lower end of the paddle shaft and a sail assembly slidingly stowed within the paddle shaft, with the sail deployed by sliding the sail assembly distally out of the upper end of the paddle shaft. A hand grip is disclosed. The hand grip has a cross-sectional profile and an axial extent delimited by opposing ends thereof, in which a resilient extension portion is provided at one side of the cross-sectional profile, and which extends substantially the length of the axial extent.
88 A SLEEVE ARRANGEMENT FOR AN OAR EP08700388.5 2008-01-30 EP2244938A1 2010-11-03 Sakellarides, Antoine
Figure (1) depicts a sleeve arrangement (10) fitted to the shaft (12) of an oar. The sleeve arrangement includes an outer sleeve consisting of first sleeve shell (14) and second sleeve shell (16). The sleeve arrangement (10) further includes an inner sheath (17) consisting of first sheath shell (18) and second sheath shell (20). Should a user wish to change the sleeve, it can be replaced by the user using common hand tools. After removing the collar, the fasteners holding the sleeve shells (18, 20) are undone and the sleeve shells (18, 20) may then be removed from the sheath (17). After fitment of new sleeve shells, the fasteners and collar are reattached and the oar is ready for use. Advantageously, it is not necessary for a technician to perform the change.

90 Locking system EP00309990.0 2000-11-09 EP1099861A3 2002-07-17 Wilson, Alistair Carmichael

A system for securing interlocking tubular components comprises first and second tubular components (1,2) to be secured and a locking apparatus (3) located within the first tubular component (1). The first tubular component (1) has a smaller diameter than the second component (2) and contains slits (5) that permit expansion of the outer diameter of the first tubular component (1) under the action of the locking apparatus (3). Each of the first and second tubular components (1,2) has an aperture (22,4) therein, the locking apparatus (3) having a spring-loaded button member (6) that protrudes from the aperture (22) of the first component (1). When the first component (1) is inserted into the end of the second component (2), the apertures (22,4) are aligned and the button (6) rises through the second aperture (4), thus holding the components (1,2) together. An adjustment tool is then inserted through a bore (17) in the button (6) into the locking apparatus (3). The turning of the adjustment tool pushes apart clamping members (8,9) in the apparatus (3) which in turn increases the diameter of the first component (1), thereby firmly holding the two components (1,2) together.

Secured as an extension for the end of the outer tube (1) are axially extending, pliable locking tongues (4) surrounded by a twistable clamping sleeve (2). The clamping sleeve (2) has its inner surface provided with circumferentially successive eccentric areas (2a) for pressing the locking tongues (4) radially inward as the clamping sleeve (2) is being twisted to the locking position.

93 HIGH EFFICIENCY HYDROFOIL AND SWIM FIN DESIGNS EP97901946.0 1997-01-09 EP0880379A1 1998-12-02 McCARTHY, Peter Thomas
Methods are disclosed for increasing lift and decreasing drag on hydrofoils and swim fins. The methods include providing a hydrofoil (104) with a highly swept back leading edge portion (108) and orienting the hydrofoil (104) at a significantly reduced angle of attack in which the reduced angle of attack occurs at an angle that is substantially transverse to the hydrofoil's direction of movement through a surrounding fluid medium. Methods are disclosed for providing a hydrofoil with a substantially longitudinal recess or venting system located substantially along the center axis of the hydrofoil. The attacking surfaces of such hydrofoil are provided with an anhedral contour that forms a substantially lengthwise channel with the recess or venting system located along the center axis of this lengthwise channel. The central recess or venting system also permits the water flowing in an attached manner along the lee surfaces of the hydrofoil to merge with the water flowing from the attacking surfaces through the recess or venting system so that lift is efficiently generated.

An oar is described suitable to be used in wind-surfing which, on one end, or blade, has a pair of blades (3,3a) pivoted on the said end (2), rotating essentially about the longitudinal axis of the oar. Means (7) are provided which limit the moving away stroke of the blades (3, 3a) and means (9) which prevent the blades from coming into contact with one another.
