PURPOSE: A torpedo defense system is provided to increase the rate of breaking torpedoes by unfolding a deployment part like an umbrella when approaching a torpedo. CONSTITUTION: A torpedo defense system(100) comprises a body part(110), a driving part(120), a deployment part(130), and a control part(140). The body part contains an explosive(111) inside thereof. The driving part is installed in the body part and provides the body part with a driving force to move under the water. The deployment part is unfolded in a radial direction when the body part approaches a torpedo and secures a portion that contacts the torpedo. The control part controls the movement of the body part and the operation of the deployment part and transmits a signal for blowing the body part when the torpedo collides against the deployment part. |
