The present invention relates to a method and a system for braking a railway vehicle to enhance the energy efficiency. Provided are the method for braking the railway vehicle to enhance the energy efficiency and the system for braking the railway vehicle to enhance such the energy efficiency, comprising: a first step of driving in a revival mode a motor for providing a towing force for running the railway vehicle according to a command of an onboard controller for controlling the driving of the railway vehicle; a second step of, if the running speed of the railway vehicle measured at a speed sensing unit is over a set oil pressure braking entrance speed, making the onboard controller operate the motor in a revival mode and perform a braking operation, and if the running speed of the railway vehicle measured at a speed sensing unit is under a set oil pressure braking entrance speed, making the onboard controller drive an oil pressure pump and perform an oil pressure braking operation; and s third step of comparing the running speed of the railway vehicle, measured in the speed sensing unit during the second step, with a stopping speed, if the stopping speed, stopping the oil pressure pump. The present invention stops operating the oil pressure pump when the railway vehicle stops, thereby saves the power consumed for operating the oil pressure pump while the railway vehicle stops, so enhances the energy consumption efficiency of the railway vehicle. The invention relates to a brake system for a rail vehicle (SZ) and to a rail vehicle (SZ) having such a brake system. The brake system has inter alia at least one control unit (AE) and brake units (B1, …, B12), which are controlled appropriately via the control unit (AE) in a braking operation. In the brake system according to the invention at least two differently equipped types of brake unit (B1, …, B12) are provided, wherein a first type of brake unit (B1, …, B8) has a brake lining optimised in terms of braking and a second type of brake unit (B9, …, B12) has a brake lining optimised for low noise emission. In a braking operation of the rail vehicle (SZ) control of the particular types of brake unit (B1, …, B12) is provided by the control unit (AE) of the brake system such that a use of the at least two different types of brake unit (B1, …, B12) can be controlled depending on a speed of travel and/or a route position. In this way, depending on the situation (e.g. emergency, etc.) the rail vehicle (SZ) according to the invention can be braked causing little noise from the travelling speed and/or the route position efficiently and optimally and in particular at low travelling speeds e.g. in the region of railway stations and/or stops. |
