PURPOSE:To enable safe travel to a long distance in the flat state of a tire by providing a tire element, formed of numerous cord arrangement orthogonal to the tire equator face so as to resist external force acting upon the width direction of a tread part, additionally between a belt and a cap. CONSTITUTION:A carcass 1 reinforces bead parts 7, side wall parts 6 and a tread part 5 continuous from them over a pair of beads 2. The tread part 5 is reinforced also by a belt 3 formed of at least two cord crossed layers, and a cap 4 formed of organic fiber cords is wound along the outer periphery of the belt 3. PURPOSE: To obtain an excellent run-flat property without increasing a weight and without sacrificing riding comfort and a traveling property, by setting a bending rigidity of a tread portion and a rigidity and a thickness of a reinforcing rubber inserted into a side wall portion to specific values, respectively. CONSTITUTION: A tread portion 1 is provided with a reinforcing belt having a large bending rigidity on the outer circumference of a carcass ply 3. The insertion of the reinforcing belt 4 adjusts a ring rigidity of the tread portion 1 to 2W10%. Reinforcing rubbers 5 of a crescent-shaped cross-section with Shore A hardness of 60W90 are inserted in a side wall portion. The reinforcing rubbers have a thickness g at the tire maximum width set to 2W6% with respect to a height of the cross-section of the carcass ply. With the arrangement, and excellent run-flat is obtained without extremely increasing a weight and without sacrificing riding comfort and a traveling property in traveling with pneumatic tires.
