At a pneumatic tire (11), in a pneumatic tire in which a reinforcing layer (11) is structured from at least one reinforcing ply (53) in which are embedded plural reinforcing cords (54) that are formed from steel and are inclined with respect to a tire equator S, an inclination angle A of the reinforcing cords (54) with respect to the tire equator S is within a range of 40 to 90°, and a compressive rigidity F per 50 mm width of a reinforcing layer (52) in a direction parallel to the reinforcing cords (54) is within a range of 1000 to 2400 N.

PURPOSE:To contrive strengthening of a tread part of a tire and to prevent the tire from damaging and puncturing, by interposing a reinforcing breaker layer between carcass plies positioning at a tread part side of the tire in the circumferential direction. CONSTITUTION:A bead part 3 laid in bead rubber in both edge parts of a tire 1 is wrapped up with a bamboo blind carcasses 2a, 2b and the surface of a carcass 2 part positioning at the edge part of the tire is covered with edge cloth 5. At a tread part of the tire the carcasses 2 are overlapped in three plies 2a- 2c. A reinforcing breaker 7 is laid between the carcassess 2a, 2b in two plies as a part of a constituting layer at a tread position of the tire. The reinforcing breaker 7 is formed of either one woven cloth selected from a group of fiber made of aromatic poliamide or one selected from a metal group made of a metal net or the other, and a width of the breaker 7 is determined so as to fall within a range of 0.6-1.5 times of the width of a tread 6.
