The first motion portion is mainly directed in the cutting direction (X), and the second motion portion is mainly directed opposite to the cutting direction and is closer to the skin (93) than the first motion portion. Said periodical motion results in a reduced risk of skin irritations and skin injuries and provides a smooth shaving result. In a particular embodiment the periodical motion is an elliptical motion with a major axis (85) extending mainly in the cutting direction (X) and with a minor axis (87) extending mainly in a Z-direction which is perpendicular to the cutting direction and the cutting edge (23). |
