PURPOSE: To provide a chewing gum base continuously releasing flavor because a spice is released during chewing by incorporating an elastomer matrix obtd. by melt-spinning an elastomer component, a spice and an elastomer solvent. CONSTITUTION: An elastomer component (A) such as a styrene-butadiene copolymer, polyisobutylene, polyisoprene or natural elastomer, a spice (B) selected from among a natural or artificial flavor, a sweetener such as saccharin or aspartame and a mixture of them and an elastomer solvent (C) such as pentaerythritol of gum rosin or wood rosin are melt-spun to form a spice dispersed elastomer matrix and the objective chewing gum base is obtd. by incorporating 10-75 wt.% of the matrix based on the amt. of the gum base. The amt. of the component A is 5-20 wt.% of the amt. of the gum base. The amt. of the component B is 0.01-40 wt.% of the amt. of the matrix. |

PURPOSE: To prepare a chewing gum having improved qualities, at lower temperature in shorter time than conventional process, by kneading raw materials of chewing gum base with additives such as sugar, perfumery, etc. at the same time, under pressure, in one step.
CONSTITUTION: Raw materials of chewing gum base, e.g. natural resin, vinyl acetate, polyisobutylene, ester gum, emulsifier, filler, etc. are mixed with raw material of chewing gum additives, e.g. sugar, starch syrup, artificial sweetener, spices, colorant, etc. under a pressure of about 4W10kg/cm
2 for about 10W25min, or under a pressure of about 6W8kg/cm
2 at about 40W60°C for about 12W15min, using a single apparatus selected from intensive mixer, Banbury mixer, pressure kneader-mixer, etc. The mixing is carried out at the same time, in one step. The lowering of the qualities caused by the over-heating of the raw materials, e.g. burnt smell and burnt taste, can be prevented, the apparatuses and the process are simplified, the energy consumption is reduced, and remarkable rationalization can be achieved.

A moringa extract containing a benzyl glucosinolate in a content of 6% by mass or more, calculated as a dry solid content of the extract, wherein the extract does not substantially contain an alkaloid. The moringa extract of the present invention for solving a first aspect is useful in the field of foodstuff or the like. Also, the PPAR activator of the present invention for solving a second aspect has excellent PPAR activation action, and has no disadvantages in side effects, so that it can be ingested for long term, which can be preferably used in foodstuff and the like. Therefore, the PPAR activator of the present invention for solving a second aspect can be expected to be used as a food, a supplement or a medicament not only for prevention of disease such as insulin resistance, hyperinsulinism, Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, arterial sclerosis and obesity, but also for fatigue recovery or endurance improvement by improving basal metabolism. In addition, a benzyl glucosinolate-containing composition for solving a third aspect is useful in the field of foodstuff or the like. |

The present invention provides an improved product holding and dispensing package and an improved method for manufacturing, holding, and storing products, especially comestible products. In an embodiment, a package for comestible products may be provided. The package includes a package blank having walls that define a package interior. The package also includes a sheet disposed inside the package interior. The sheet wraps around a stack of comestible products and maintains the products in a stacked formation. The sheet also retains the comestible products against lateral movement within the sheet. In an embodiment, the plurality of comestible products are releasably attached to the sheet to prevent the comestible products from sliding out of the sheet. In an embodiment, the sheet may be attached to the package interior. |
