28 A programmable sound synthesizer and/or control module EP97610039.6 1997-09-16 EP0829840A3 1998-04-15 Eskildsen, Jörn

A programmable apparatus for selectively reading machine readable codes such as bar codes in a user defined sequence. Each code represents an action to be performed by the apparatus. In the apparatus data representing read codes are generated and stored in a memory. A plurality of such data representing a user defined sequence of actions may be stored. Upon reading stored data the apparatus can execute corresponding actions in the user defined sequence.

Actions to be performed by the apparatus can include starting, reversing and stopping of an electric motor, increasing and decreasing its number of revolutions, playing tones for generating melodies, simulating everyday life sounds, such a the sound of a truck engine. The apparatus may be placed in a toy car or truck, in which it senses a tacho disc and synthesizes the sound of the truck's engine with a simulated number of revolutions corresponding to the speed with which the truck is driven.

33 Interconnecting modular pathway apparatus JP2012151538 2012-07-05 JP2012213652A 2012-11-08 COMFORT ANDREW
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interconnecting modular pathway apparatus.SOLUTION: A plurality of interconnectable modular members may create a pathway system with multiple entrances into the upper portion of each member and at least one exit from the lower portion of each member, thereby providing for a variety of convergence and divergence possibilities. The pathway system is suitable for receiving and transporting marbles and other spherical objects from one member to another. The modular members may be interlinked via male/female connectors to create a variety of configurations.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to program and execute a series of operation regulated by a user by executing reading and storing operation with a sequence specified by the user and executing a series of operation regulated by the user. SOLUTION: When a user depresses a stop button 14 after inputting a required sequence, the whole sequence is stored in a memory of the device and a red LED 13 is turned off. When the user depresses a play button 15 in order to execute the inputted sequence, the device is switched to a play mode. A microcomputer in the device reads out inputted data from the memory one by one. The memory stores also instructions corresponding to respective bar codes to be used. Since the microcomputer can execute these instructions in the order corresponding to the sequence selected inputted by the user, the device executes corresponding operation by the sequence selected by the user.
