The restraint bar assembly 11 is freely removably and securely attached to the swing 10. A latch mechanism connects the lower extension member 13 to the seat portion 14 of the swing 10. This connection is achieved by engaging the almost J-shaped hook of the lower extension member 13 as a part of a spring with an almost J-shaped catch located below the seat portion 14 of the swing 10. Further, the restraint bar assembly 11 has a boss 34 formed on the crossing bar 12 of the restraint bar assembly 11. The boss 34 is stored in a recess in the armrest 16 of the swing 10. The latch mechanism and the boss 34 together place and hold the restraint bar assembly 11 in an appropriate place.

The control system modifies the venue variable according to the guest state to provide increased satisfaction to the guest of the experiential venue.

A hydraulic ram (67) is provided for tensioning the elastic structure (71) prior to release of the anchoring means whereby energy stored in the loaded elastic structure (71) is transferred to the cables (31, 32) to cause upward propulsion of the carrier (19) on release of the anchoring means.
