First and second frame supports (12, 13) with each including a frame support body (21a, 13a) and a frame support base (12b, 13b). The frame support bodies are substantially A-frames and the frame support bases are substantially C-shaped cylindrical rods connecting to the ends of a respective one of the A-frame frame support bodies (12a, 13a) to form outwardly extending frame support bases. The cross beam (15) sized or extended by addition of extension beam (16) to protrude beyond the connection points (17) and to substantially overly the extension of the frame support base (12b, or 13b). This allows a further swing or climbing means or the like to be connected therebetween. Alterable suspension means (51) includes a cleat plate (53) with a plurality of holes (54) to allow the rope (52) or other elongated flexible cord to be woven through the plurality of the cleat holes (54) to provide a frictional hold of the rope or other elongated flexible cord.

A safety device for a child's swing having a seat (2) fixed at its ends by a pair of stays (3, 4) which keep the seat itself raised from the ground. This device includes at least one horizontal bar (6) placed between the two stays which in the operating position is located near the child's head and prevents the formation of twisting of the stays in that zone due to the rotation of the swing seat around a vertical axis.

86 PIVOTING-ARM GIANT SWING AMUSEMENT RIDE EP02752414.9 2002-07-18 EP1423173A1 2004-06-02 Kleimeyer, Mark
An elevated support beam has a boom arm and two cam arms that pivot between a lower loading position and an elevated operating position. A passenger carriage is suspended from the cam arms and is releasably attached to the boom arm. In operation, the passenger carriage swings back and forth but is elevated safely from the ground because of the elevated cam arms. Alternative embodiments include separately pivotal boom and cam arms, a support beam sufficiently thick that the cam are not required, movable solid or fluid counterweights, and automatic pivoting assemblies that pivot the cam arms in anopposite direction from the boom arm, A method of swinging a passenger include pivoting the boom arm and the cam arms to the operating position, locking the cam arms in the operating position, and permitting the carriage to swing from the cam arms safely above the ground.
87 Amusement device EP03078181.9 2003-10-08 EP1407804A1 2004-04-14 Kroon, Louisito Johannes Eusebio; Kroon, Albert Louisito Phillipus

Disclosed is a device (100) for preventing the ropes of a toy swing from bending at the time when a child tries to sit on the seat (10) in the swing and to get off from the seat (10) in the swing or during riding in the swing, thereby providing the safety during use to the child. The device (100) includes: a main cylinder part (110) with a first tunnel (112) in the interior thereof, through which the two ends of the rope (30) are collected and passed; and two extension cylinder parts (120) each having a second tunnel (122) in the interior thereof where the two ends of each of the ropes (30) passed from the main cylinder part (110) are divided and inserted and passed through the second tunnel (122), thereby rendering the two ends of each of the ropes (30) extracted to the edges of the front and rear portions of the both sides of the seat (10).

94 Modular playground assemblies EP95303444.4 1995-05-23 EP0688583A1 1995-12-27 Bookstaver, Charles W.; Mercurio, Frank

Three separate arrangements of modular playground assemblies may be constructed from identically shaped support members and one of three different crossbars. Playground equipment such as a platform member, a slide member and swing devices can be attached to the basic assemblies. The support member is preferably a unitary, molded plastic member, having openings therethrough to serve as steps and an access opening to accommodate climbing and other play by children using the assemblies. The basic components can be selectively combined into units for distribution and use in making one of the three assemblies.

95 AMUSEMENT RIDE. EP93919961 1993-08-13 EP0656801A4 1995-11-29 KITCHEN WILLIAM J; BIRD KENNETH G
The ride (10) is capable of raising a rider (22) to a height of ten meters or more above the ground, and then releasing the rider to swing. It includes a support structure (12), a support line (16) secured to the support structure at one end, with an opposed end secured to a rider, preferably to an attachment which is worn by a rider (20). A launch structure (26) is spaced from the support structure (12) and carries a launch line (24) which has an end (48) which is capable of being raised and lowered above the ground, and which is designed to be releasably attached to a rider attachment, so as to lift a rider from the ground. In operation the rider attachment with the support line attached is secured to the rider, the launch line is releasably secured to the attachment, and the launch line is activated to move the rider laterally and upwardly towards the top of the launch structure. When the launch line is released from the attachment which carries the rider, the rider swings downwardly at a high speed simulating the sensation of "body flight" in a pendulum like motion.

98 Pendelsitz EP80100996.0 1980-02-28 EP0015509A1 1980-09-17 Beltzig, Günter; Richter, Julian; Rechler, Norbert
