PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the taking-in efficiency of excavated soil by discharging soil taken into from the discharge opening of a soil-discharge plate after the soil has been scraped and collected to the center by a rotary cutter and a screw cutter. SOLUTION: Soil excavated by rotary cutters 10, 10 rotating oppositely to each other is raked up in between the rotary cutters 10, 10. Subsequently, the soil is collected to the center by flights 29 formed spirally opposite to each other from both ends to the central part in a screw cutter 27 of the rear side. Thereafter, the soil is pushed with advance of the excavator to the rear side soil-discharge plate 46 and discharged out of a discharge opening 50 formed in the soil-discharge plate 46 and positioned at the central rear part of the screw cutter 27. In this way, after the excavated soil has been raked up and collected to the central part by the rotary cutters 10, 10 and the screw cutter 27, it is taken in from the discharge opening 50 of the soil-discharge plate 46 and discharged. Accordingly, the raking and collecting efficiency and the soil- discharge efficiency can be remarkably improved. | ||||||

PURPOSE: To eliminate high costs for tunnel boring in a discontinuity structure, in rock mass containing hindering hard rocks emerging at the excavation site. CONSTITUTION: There is provided a method for boring a tunnel in a discontinuity structure in rock mass containing hindering hard rocks, in which a self- advancing tunnel boring machine equipped with a rock carrier 4 is used, whereby tunnel boring is carried out by rock mass excavation at the site of a tunnel to be bored. The tunnel boring machine is equipped with at least one drilling gun arm rack 7 for mounting a drilling gun 8 thereon. When the obstacle hard rocks emerge at the excavation site, orientation of the drilling gun arm rack to the hindering hard rocks, and crushing of the hindering hard rocks by operation of the drilling gun are performed in combination, and an interval between the hindering hard rocks and the drilling gun at the operation of the drilling gun (at the explosion), and the drilling gun operation are adjusted, such that crushed rocks are carried by the rock carrier of the tunnel boring machine. | ||||||
