PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drill bit shaft structure of a drilling unit, which enables the bending of a drill bit shaft without generating great bending stress or deteriorating stress transferability.
SOLUTION: In this drill bit shaft structure of the drilling unit 1, a part of the hollow drill bit shaft 2 is constituted throughout a predetermined length as a thin-walled shaft part 21 thinner-walled than shaft parts 22 and 23 on both sides. A tubular body 30 equipped with a universal joint structure is arranged in the state of surrounding the thin-walled shaft part 21. Both ends (32 and 33) of the tubular body 30 are connected and fixed to adjacent parts 22a and 23a of the shaft parts 22 and 23 on both the sides of the thin-walled shaft portion 21, respectively. The thin-walled shaft part 21 and the tubular body 30 are bent to enable the control of a drilling direction.

CONSTITUTION: A leading body 10 is pushed forward in the ground from the side of a vertical shaft V, forming an underground pit there, while a propulsion supporter 20 is successively connected to the rear of this leading body 10. At the vertical shaft V, an underground pipe 62 is fed to a guide roll 74 and a cylinder machining unit 76 from two bending rolls 71, 72, forming an endless underground pipe 60. In addition, this pipe 60 is locked to a supporter 20 by an expansion mechanism 50, and then it is pushed forward in an underground hole.

Compression stress is give to a surface 32 of the bottom part of the groove 24 by shot peening, etc. Consequently, mud moves around a drill string, and it is possible to improve a stirring effect and to extensively improve efficiency of drilling work. |
