The second end of the tension indicator is secured to the first extremity of the tensioner such that in use of the apparatus, when the tension is applied to the tensioner between the wheel and the second extremity of the tensioner, the carriage and the stretcher roll rotatably supported thereon is moved relative to the frame for tensioning the dryer felt.
