CONSTITUTION: The solid matter in the building waste water contg. night soil introduced into a raw water receiving tank 1 settles and the supernatant liquid is introduced into a raw water tank 2. The waste water in the tank 2 is partly and continuously fed to an aeration tank 3 where the org. pollutant is decomposed by a biological treatment and the chromaticity component is decomposed by dye decomposable bacteria. The pH of the liquid mixture is required to be maintained at ≤4.5 in order to obtain the substantial effect of removng the chromaticity of the liquid mixture in the tank 3. The waste water is then fed to a solid-liquid sepn. tank 4 or ultrafilter tank 5 where the waste water is separated to sludge and treated water. A part of the sludge is again returned to the tank 3 and the remaining part is discarded as excess sludge to the outside of the system.
