CONSTITUTION: Hollow fibers 4 are arranged in a reactor 3 provided with a gas inlet port 9, a gas outlet port 10 and a recovery port 13. Microorganisms are attached to the outer circumference of the hollow fiber membrane. A medium in a liquid medium tank 6 is passed through the hollow fiber 4 using a liquid medium-feeding pump 7 and discharged from the fiber through the outlet 12. The microorganism can be cultured using a gaseous substrate to enable the industrial production of large quantities of the microorganism and/or microbial product.
